I find myself going out almost every day with customers or traveling, the days that I'm in the office I typically have no idea when I'm going to eat so I bring something in. I'd say 1 or 2 times in every 2 weeks I eat in the office.

I have a mini fridge in my office, I pack it up with stuff usually every two weeks, micrwave smart ones etc, milk for cereal, water ice tea. I go out on Fridays only. I do not bring from home as I rdie the train 4 days a week and lug enough crap just for work needs.

I have been bringing lunch to work with me for many years now. it is definitely cheaper for someone like me who will eat 4-5 times a day, which can get pretty expensive, lol. I exercise a lot of discipline when it comes to cutting corners to save money on things I can do for myself. It is definitely healthier to make your own meals as well. I usually save drinking and the eating out for the weekends..... no pun intended!

Dang some of you guys spend quite a bit eating out every day. Crazy.

Yeah for the most part it's not worth it if you're cooking for yourself. I usually bring whatever is leftover from what we cook for the family.

If I drank coffee on an empty stomach it's going to kill me. lol

i'm in the same boat. I workout mon-thurs and eat 5 times a day so i cant afford to eat out as much as i'd like to. i spend about $50/week on groceries and eat out twice on the weekends. Eating out costs no more than $20 total so i'm only spending about $70/week on food.

i treat every meal like an opportunity to get to know the neighbourhood, people in the community and to try something new or indulge in something reliably great. It's like a 40 - 90 minute vacation in the middle of the day.

yes it gets expensive but it's a better vice than smoking, drinking etc. and the costs (avoided) balance one another.

just looked at a couple commnets here.... if you're really into fitness and are eating 4+ times a day you def have to bring a lunch or at least enough food to eat before and after lunch... i have worked with guys like this. thankfully they shared

At work, all meals, drinks, snacks provided for free.
During my time off I usually eat lunch at home, if I go out, try to keep it under 6$ with tax. Never buy the 2$ sodas or water, bring my own or drink tap water.
