Avatar picture resizing help. please

i kinda want a picture on my thing. i checked everyone of my pictures taken from camera phones and htis and that, and they are all too many pixels. how do i resize one?

use microsoft paint, then do Image--->Stretch/Skew--->now change the first two Horizontal and Vertical boxes to be a smaller percentage (make sure they're the same though), leave the other two boxes at 100%.

thanks soo much nikki. i dont think i hvae microsoft paint. im on a mac. i have the microsoft package with word and power point and stuff, but i dont htink i have paint. any other suggestions? thanks again nikki.

i've never used a mac, i don't know what photo editing software they have. sorry.

If you have photoshop, you can easily do it. Don't use paint, it makes it look weird when resized.

I use Ifranview.. It resizes and edits pictures. I think u can dload it online

oh yeah! irfanview rocks and it's free! too bad it only runs under windows though. i actually want to port it to OS X because i haven't found a tool yet that would do what Mr. Irfan does.
