How long do you guys wanna live for?

People have asked me this all the time and i think that when i get to the point where i can no longer wipe my own ass, it's time to go...doesn't matter my age, if i can't wipe my own ass...i want to see the light..

I think that answer changes depending on your circumstances. I mean obviously when you're depressed the answer is different from when you're happy and have made it in life. If I'm healthy/active enough then I would want to live until like 90 or so.

Sometimes think we think that now, when we can no longer move or wipe our own ass we want to die...but i bet once we get to that point our perception on life will change and you'll do whatever it takes to live...i dunno...

Great answer. Like Spool said though, I guess your perception on life and living will change when you get to that stage in life. Hopefully we don't have to.

Can't worry too much about it. I'll just let ride and see what happens.

I think what some of you guys don't realize is that with modern medicine, people are living long and longer (and healthier?). My grandpa is in his mid 80's and can still ride a bike. I mean if I could be like that then I want to live until about then. If I'm going to be decrepit then I probably wouldn't want to live until I'm 100.

I actually kinda wanna go out in an epic car accident like James Dean or something. but I'd have to be famous and I want it all dramatic like girls in poodle skirts going
"Don't race him!"
or
"Don't play chicken you don't have to prove anything"
that'd be dope... like an old rebel/greaser movie. yea.... I could see it now....

and forever be remembered...

i want to live long enough to experience all the joys of life..getting married, having kids, etc...it seems that I am still so far away from that life, even though I am in my early 20s.

Forever. Seriously. It makes me mad to think of all the things I'll never get to see or do because life is so short.

Yeah we're gonna miss out on technology, and how far it'll go...maybe live on another planet some day, or travel to another galaxy

Not much longer after my wife passes away assuming she dies before me. I've been with my GF for 3 years now and love her a lot, and one day will pop the question. I don't think I could go through the heartbreak of being with someone for 40-50 years and having to bury them and being all alone. That being said, hopefully modern medicine can keep me alive as long as possible. I enjoy life to much to be dead. Though if I ever had Alzheimers and was basically a living vegetable then I would want to go.
