What are the penalties for a DUI in Korea?

Penalties are:

.05 - .09, fined from $500 to $1200, suspension of license for 100 days
.09 and above, fined anywhere between $2000 to $5000, license revoked for one year

Actually I left for good back in 85. I've been back a few times and yes i know the culture is all about drinking. some advice (not legal) for the rest of yous....pass a hundred bucks or so and the cop just might let you slide.

Sorry to say the test results are in......not good. Came out .091!!!! My licnesed has been suspended for 100 days and I have to take a course in DUI. My car is coming in 2 weeks......I can't drive it until 3 months!!! I cannot believe this. I waited for 5 months for my car to come......guess who ain't drinking and driving anymore.....lesson learned: Never get your blood tested guys!!!

by the time you got to the place to take the blood test it would be below .051, did they let you do a blood test?

Depends.... If you just drank and got into your car it would not have the time to enter the blood stream fully.
