That's a tough one, one car weighs around 3,100 lbs and the other around 3,800 lbs with a live axle rear suspension.

My 335 sport interior looks just like my 15 year old E36. Only my E36 didnt have mirrors that wigged out every time I start the engine or rear power sunshade that stick in the up position....or need 3 fuel pumps, 4 software updates, a window regulator, new brake caliper, three new injectors at 3 seperate intervals. Leather feels dry, dash pad looks like chicken skin that someone plucked the feathers off of.

I would take a 2007 GT500 over my 335i any day of the week. Can't imagine how impressive the 2013 would be.

If you think the e36 interior looks just like the 335i's interior,i think it's time to go see the eye doctor.

Above is a shot of a roughly 15 yr old E36. Below is a Mustang of the same year:

Saw the interior of the gt500 at a press event. I'll take that over any 3 series interior on the market. It's a marked improvement over any other Mustang/Vette/CTS-V i've seen.

Jericho- nice one sided pic. Most e46's which are newer have interiors that look like total SHIT due to wear and tear, let's not even talk about e36's. Also, a mustang new cost under 20k back then and they had vinyl seats. Times have changed.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE e36 M3's (in my opinion, the last true m3). I was just responding to Jericho. I had that same shift knob on my z06, was great. I have seen your car in Colombia driving by.

What can I say? I'm a sucker for motors that come with forced induction from the factory.

I was shopping for an E46 M3 a few months back and found just the opposite to be true. They have held up quite well, obsolete Nav aside, while the mustang remained unchanged and dated from 1994 straight through 2004. This sentiment that the Mustang is now a real competitor is quite new but I don't know why everyone is so surprised by some well deserved shit-talking. The Mustang was junk for 20 years before a complete revamp over the last few years so don't be surprised if it takes a little longer for some of us to come around...

I had an E36 M3 and I can tell you it's nothing like my current E90 interior. I'll take the instruments from the E90 and put them in the shape of the E36 dash and call it perfect. I had light scarring on a couple knuckles from that damn shoddy climate control unit going wonky all the time. I had to punch it a couple times on its lower right corner and then it would act right for a bit.

I'd also take a Focus ST wheel over the Mustang wheel, probably the most irksome part of that interior to me. It feels good in my hands, but it looks like shit. I don't really care too much about the interior as long as it's not an ergonomic disaster, but the wheel is a bit WTF. I get that they're trying to emulate the muscle car wheels of old, but I'm just not a fan. Because of the proportions, it doesn't even do a real good job of that.

All this interior talking should change direction. The look is OK, it's the quality of material used that is somewhat a heartbreaker.

The car itself is a great thing but i would spend more and get a Z06 not because the Mustang's interior is made out of cheap materials because let's be honest, Z06's interior is made out of the same trash. It's the driving feeling, traditional Mustang body roll and the way it makes you feel the weight that makes me walk away from any Mustang except the new Boss.

Thats a Jaffster Delrin race knob, aka the butt plug. Its fantastic, doesnt get hot, great grip and perfect height to give good leverage for banging gears. I haven't missed a 1-2 shift since I installed it even when banging out mid 3 second 0-60 sprints. While it doesn't look pleasing to non gearheads its awesome from a functional stanpoint. The linkage is a UUC evo III set at mid height. I had a mtech weighted knob off a 330 zhp and this knob kicks its ass all day long. Not cheap though.

oh cool, your in e90 I suppose. I've seen a few white GTR's driving around but it looks like you sold that.

Uhh did you read the reviews for this car that the thread is about? It doesn't wallow and roll like Mustangs of old, or even like the current base GT. The BOSS rolls and squats and dives too, by the way, but that's part of the engineering put into the car. Why do you think the BOSS beats low and stiff variations with more HP around the track (see BOSS vs R-S3 on the turd version of TopGear)?

Lower and stiffer does not always a faster car make. Period. But the car this thread is about apparently keeps its motion in check. Read the reviews.

I didn't mention any of these above. I said I don't like Mustangs body rolls, that includes Boss body rolls too and i believe GT500 will roll too unlike what reviewers say because at the end it's a Mustang.

The reason i like Boss has nothing to do with the rolling or diving, it's the driver involvement in that car that attracts me.
