the engine felt great, but like i said i didn't really feel a kick unless i left it in 2nd.

also, in terms of the interior, i stated i didn't like the seats or steering wheel as much, but i did like the console and the setup more.

Am I the only one that doesnt like the new Audi LED's???

I think they are so bright that they are distracting. And I dont like the way they turn off when you put on the turn signal (I understand why they must, they are so bright you would never see the turn signal).

I do like the front end of the Audi though.

I am not as big a fan of the S4 though as I am the S5. Thats a beautiful car.

The s5 is gorgeous sure! But it just doesnt walk the talk. The s5 looks 10000x faster than the 335i

Talking about the s4.... can it honestly be that much better than the 335i?

It is simply a function of residual value, not choice.
S4 is a very nice car though. Audi has made some nice changes over the past couple of years too all of their cars. Must have a new designer.

there is nothing they can do, there cars depreciate much faster then a BMW. KBB recently praised BMW for high resale value, which means our lease rates are going to be super competitive, if not #1 in lux market.

Actually it is a good business move by BMW. Volume is the key. Since leases are the majority of the US business, making an artificial residual value higher, increases volume.

My car is currently not worth the end of lease buyout according to both KB and Edmonds. I still have 10 months left on the lease.

THe video above is the "old" V8 in the S5. Next year's should be the V6SC...end of story then...until the Bimmer updates the 335 line...

go audizine.com. there is a main post there shows a stock S4 puts down 307whp 3rd gear, and 295whp 4th gear , and APR's stock S4 puts down 316whp.

I guess what I was getting at is -[in my opinion] for 58 (or whatever they are loaded - base is not realistic for me b/c I like the toys) it should have more power - if not at least have the potential?

The fact we can tune the N54 so easily I got sucked in - simple as that. For me there is something to be said about a car that responds well to simple modifcations (a la 5-liter Mustangs). I wanted an S5 for a long time but when it was time to hand over the cash, I went for the cheaper 335 with it's power potential and resale.

What message boards are you reading? I'd be interested in seeing what the S4/5 people are up to.

Actually the Audi S4 lease is not bad ANYMORE. My 335i lease will be over in march and I just ordered an S4: 300 over invoice, 0.00144 MF and 54% residual. On a 55,000 MSRP S4, I'm paying slightly less than what my friend is paying for his recently leased, similarly priced E92 335i.

After test driving the S4, i thought the car was impressive but it wasn't a instant winner. the handling wasn't better than my 335. I thought overall Audi did a pretty good job. The sports differential feature is pretty impressive and so is dual clutch 7 speed auto transmission.

Why did pick S4 over E90 335i? I was looking for something *NEW*. New for me and the market. I enjoyed my 335i coupe for 3 years. got it few months after it came out. I need to get a 4 door now and E90 is just a little old. I lease my cars so why not drive something different for next 3 years. I will switch back when the F30 will be out

I too have test driven the S4 and I really did not see what people seem to always rave about. I did not like the size and feel of the steering wheel and I felt the seats were not as supportive and just did not feel as good as my sport seats.

I told my wife about what seems to be the accepted consensus about Audi interiors and asked her to be as objective as possible. She too could not give the S4 the nod for having a better interior. She told me she actually prefers the BMW interior for its looks and simplicity, and said that the Audi did score some points with her for having a more spacious rear seating area.

Are we both missing something?
i think the interior is not taht great... i dont get why people are like "oh my god audi has so much better interior than my 3."
