What if you HAD to get rid of your E9x?

what other car would you get?

hurt's to even think about downgrading. i might be heading in that direction. looking to lower my payments to the $400 range so i can help around the house.

used car rates are ridiculous. i'd have to get a used car in the low $20k range @ 6.5% to get my payments in the low-mid $400's.

OR i can lease a newer car but even the IS250 lease special starts in the mid $400's. considered that car but 204hp?

looks like an E90 335 sedan is out of the question too.

If I had to downgrade, i'd choose between a fun Z or a more practical next gen TL.

thought you would enjoy that. But seriously, what do you really expect for 20K? You can get a nice used Z3 for 15-20K with low mileage, say a 2002 model.

previous car was a s2000 so a roadster probably would not be an option for me right now.

a TL might work.

not worth buying a car. look into leasing a G37, which is around $500 a month semi-loaded. that would be a great car if you could afford payments. also, what about a new C300 merc or a 350z? all would be fun cars to have.

forgot to mention the TL or TL type s as well.

Funny you mentioned an IS250, I'm thinking of getting rid of the car for that one. Not because of financial burden, but because it gets crazy MPG and I will need an automatic car with the stop and go traffic that I will now go through each day. My friend has one and is also getting 9-10 more MPG than my 335i. And the car is a lot more reliable than the 335i, sadly. Yes, it's slower than dirt, but it looks cool though, heh.

Get a Civic Coupe,... not the fastest, but still looks nice, great quality, good mpg, you can even look for an Si and that would be even better,... I'd rather have a new Civic than a 1999 Z3.

Or simply lease,.... that's even better.

not a fan of the new g37's. yes, i'm being picky but if i'm going to downgrade, i'm gonna need to really like this car or else i'll kick myself in the arse everyday.

my boss' daughter has the IS250 and he said it's not weak at all. keep in mind, the guy has a porsche CS and infiniti m35 which has substantially more power. supposedly the 250 gets 30mpg.

back to the honda days

i'm most likely going to lease again. used car rates are just ridiculous.

Damn sorry to hear Ken.

HmMM...I would take at TL Type S...they're hella nice but that might be out of the price range as well.

soOOO

08 350z White, around 30k range...and you can still have fun with it!

probably wouldn't get the TL-S but maybe a TL. leasing that will probably put me in the upper $400's.

i hate the 350z interior. already had a 2 seater so i'm not looking to go back anytime soon.

Id say go for a used G35.. I think like the supra and E46M3,
the lines of the G35 will stay nice throughout the years!
would be nice but used car rates are not attractive. i can get a newer car under warranty for about the same monthly payment.

I don't know if you still want a coupe as your commute car, but I would highly suggest you the Mini Copper S and VW Golf GTI....I love them both. They are both fun to drive, 4 seaters, some trunk spaces and good mileage.

dude, have you checked out the new Z's interior? It's actually pretty damn nice! I hated the older Z's interiors as well, plain crap when I looked at it. Now it's equipped with Bose sound system, navi, trays, leather, etcetc. it's acutally really nice.
