Misfires - Engine runs rough when cold, fine when warm

I've been having misfires in my 2007 335i for about 6 months. 68k miles.

Symptoms - Runs rough after starting and driving cold, fine once the engine warms up. If I accelerate hard while cold, CEL comes on and the car runs very rough. I can reset the CEL by restarting the car, then I drive gingerly until engine warms up at which time I can drive like normal with minimal issues at worst.

What's been done - Replaced plugs. Fine for a day or two then same problems. Autozone codescan said misfire on Cyl 3, so I replaced that coil. No real change. My shop said it had a "fuel code plausibility"...took to dealer hoping for HPFP, but their computer said "Fuel low-pressure" sensor. Was quoted $380 and charged $500 to change the sensor, but problem is still there. BMW dealer also said *all* of my injectors need to be replaced, but they quoted $2k so I said no thanks for now (will have my shop do it if needed). Diagcode in question is D1350_00000000_01_02 - "All fuel injectors in cylinder bank 1 and cylinder bank 2"

I have a full set of coils. Should I change them all our or is that 100% not the issue?

Thanks for any advice!!!

Other fault codes identified by dealer:
DME: Combustion misfires, cylinder 3
DME: Misfire at low tank fill level (probably related to that sensor)
DME: Combustion misfires, cylinder 1
DME: Combustion misfires, cylinder 2
DME: Combustion misfires, several cylinders

If the answer is: change all the injectors, is that a potential DIY job or is it pretty involved?

What about adding a bottle, or 2, of premium fuel injector cleaner ?

I think your injectors are having a leaks my friend. It is doable for a DIY. You need to have them coded as well. DIY Section has this I believe.

It can't hurt to change out the coils - I would do that before shelling out 2k for new injectors.

Also, a cursory search turned up this on a DIY injector swap (N54):

Seems my injectors might be covered by a recall, potentially the same one concerning the HPFP.

Can anyone point me to the actual BMW bulletin or recall notice that I can show to my dealer when they inevitably tell me to get lost?

Subscribed....OP any update on this?

I have identical issue to yours except in my case it is either cylinder 1, 2, 3 misfiring OR its ONLY cylinder 1 misfiring. Unfortunately, there is no pattern to it except that I can only reproduce it every morning after it has been standing in cold overnight.

Any insight will be appreciated. Note that in my case HPFP and all 6 injectors were replaced a while back and I have not had any issues till now. My thread is @ http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1070123

Thanks.
