Hello All,

New joiner here from New York. Currently have a 99 Mustang GT. Looking to buy my first new car soon. This seems like a great forum with a lot of good info.

I recently test drove a c300 sport and was gearing up to get either the c300 or c350 in the next month or so. Then I came across the 1 Series and I am strongly considering holding out until spring time for one.

The 335i coupe is a little out of my price range but I love the engine and really like the styling of the 1 series. Do you guys think its going to be tough to get a hold of one when they are released or will there be plenty of them on the lots? Will the dealers be marking them up a lot at release? I dont want to wait until mid-summer for a reasonable price.

Thanks guys and I'm looking forward to visiting here often.

Hi everyone,
New guy from Chicago and have had my eye on a BMW for a long time. Put my deposit down on a new 135i, which would be my first (and likely not last) Bimmer, so the next four or five months should be agonizingly long...

Hi all. New member here, saw this thread and thought I'd pipe up.

Currently drive any number of things, but a 1-series would replace a 7-year-old Focus as my daily beater if I figured out where to get the money. The 1er offers things that no other car can in this country - RWD, inline 6, new car warranty, and a size no larger than a Focus. Sounds like fun to me.

2008 135i Coupe  [0.00]
Hi all, I drive a Land Rover Discovery 3/LR3 and I love off roading, however I am looking for a car that will be as much fun on road as my Disco is off road. Considered getting a 335 coupe, but came across a newspaper article on the 135 coupe a few weeks ago. 135 - more performance and A$28,000 cheaper......

Still think the 335 coupe looks better though!

Hello there, I've been a motorsports enthusiast for as long as I can remember and always admired BMW’s motorsports history and the street cars that made it happened. I have been very disappointed lately (last 10 years) with the street cars. As an enthusiast that take his street cars to the track regularly, the 3 series became overweight and underpowered – mostly clattered with a plethora of gadgets intended to make buyers feel warm with luxury and safety. In other words, from my perspective, the E30 M3 was the last true sports car made by BMW.

So, now that I see the 1 Series and the intent to make performance variances of it, I’m hopeful that BMW will go back to its roots with this model and make true performance versions. I’m very happy to see the tii concept and will love to see it in production, I would buy it in a heartbeat.

I currently drive:
95 Toyota MR2 NA (mostly track duty)
82 320i E21 Hennarot (fun car)
79 323i E21 Euro version (built 2.7 stroker)
07 Impreza 2.5RS (daily driver)

Cheers,
Marco

Hello, been lurking for a long time but just decided to finally join. I've been in love with the 1 since i first saw pics and then read about the 6 piston brakes, engine, and all the other standard features. Ill be looking at the 335 too before i make my purchase late next year.

Cheers!

Wink I think I want 1...

As my adorable, super cute, 330i enters middle age, as she starts to need more frequent fixes and repairs, I'm starting to look for a replacement car. The new 1 series is cute enough with enough HP to consider. Happy to find the 1addicts forum and hope to learn more about it!

Hey. I've been checking out the board for a while and decided to sign up.

I'm a current owner of an RX8, looking to find a new car before my powertrain warranty is up the end of April '08. My RX8 has been equally as fun as it has been problematic, and it has been a really fun car.

I like long walks on the beach, 16th century French poetry and high power-to-weight ratios. Well, not the first two so much - but I really like the third.

I'm looking forward to learning all about the 1'er.
