Tires rubbing on 335is

Hey Guys,
I recently replaced the stock RFTs on my 335is with 313 rims. I put on a set of Michelin PSS 235/35/19 in front and 265/30/19 in the back. Now it seems when I reverse and turn sharply on pavement that is not perfectly flat I hear what sounds like wheel rubbing from the wheel well. It seems to be when the wheel is turned completely to the right when I am backing out of a parking spot usually. I haven't seen any sign of rubbing on the outside of the tire.
Has anyone else experienced this with the Michelin Pilot Super Sports?

Shouldn't be... I just did the same thing you did, replaced my rft's on my e92 cpe with Michelin PSS's 235/35/19 front and 265/30/19 rear and 0 rubbing. Wheels are AG M359 19x9 +35 front and 19x10 +38 rear. Are you running stock suspension or lowered?

Have an idea on what side of the vehicle? What are your offsets?

So it only rubs in the front?

It's probably rubbing on the inside fender liner. Look to see if there are any marks.

Thanks for the responses guys.

Everything is stock including the suspension. No spacers or any other mods, I just upsized the tires and I had expected no issues because I hadn't heard of any.
I think BMW 325i is right. I cranked the wheel all the way to the left and right and the tire seems really really close to the front fender. It may explain why it only happens when reversing typically, and usually on uneven pavement, and seems to be worse with a passenger in the car.
I am not sure if it is coming from the left or right wheel well or both.
Could it be that the 335is has a little less room in the front of the wheel well because of the extra air flow?

I forgot to mention that I had these same tires mounted on my previous e92 335i without a problem and no rubbing. The only other difference was that they were on style 230 rims instead of style 313.

its a combo of larger tire diameter on the fronts and as youre in reverse the front squats down a bit. Its probably grazing the vent slits.

I think you are right StretchNpoke, it is probably rubbing on the vents.
I guess the only thing to do is down size the fronts to 225/35/19 or live with it.

You could throw some 16 inch Dayton's on there and call it a day.

I was going to say the vent slats too. If it's only happening occasionally in extreme conditions, I would just live with it. If it was happening every bump then I might be more inclined to do something about it.

If you're bored one day just take the wheel off and look around for marks or melted plastic if you want to figure out exactly where its rubbing.

The PSS have significantly more or a shoulder compared to my previous owned PS2 tires. This applies to front & rear. This is more than likely your rubbing issues

I have the exact same rubbing on my is...running SS on VMR wheels. Only in reverse with the wheel cranked to the right about 3/4 of the way. The shoulder is hitting the well vents slats right by the bolt, parallel to the hub center. It seems the driver side well is a little tighter than the passenger side. Haven't fixed it yet but I'll likely try disassemble and pull in the vents a bit at this spot for more clearance.

I run same set up on my IS on 19in 313s and have no rubbing issues whatsoever.

Without any alignment details it is hard to tell honestly what is going on. You shouldn't have any issues if the rim offsets are correct. I would check alignment and max out camber up front, although stock arms won't give you much.

I run 255 square for track without issues but have negative camber.

I had the vent slit issue and resolved it by using a black(so you can't see it) zip tie to pull the liner forward a bit.

I am running Nitto NT550 235/35/19 front, 275/30/19 rear, No rubbing. I even have more room for 245/35/19 front, 285/30/19 rear.
