Correct...Qualify is scheduled to be at 10:00am local time, that's 18:00 Pacific Time and 21:00 pacific time. Speed had other programs (pinks all out? NASCAR?) scheduled at that time and wasn't able to shuffle the programme schedule (rather piss off F1 community rather than NASCAR community, afterall they are not F1 only dedicated channel).

With the race just 3 hours after qualifying, there's not going to be time for any crash repairs other than minor stuff, so it'll be an interesting qualifying, especially if it rains . Hey, any guesses who's the best 'wet' driver? Without top speed an issue, ANY of the 24 drivers could qualify on pole, correct? Hope it's raining so cars are not a factor; let the best driver get pole .

And yes, looks like the safety car will be busy tomorrow .

From what I understand, in wet conditions, aerodynamics become less important (although at Suzuka, F1 cars still manage to pull some impressive speeds through corners in the wet), and mechanical grip and inherent stablity/balance become the big two factors.

From that perspective, I believe Renault and Mclaren should be very competitive.

What I DON'T like about rain (in qualifying) is that it becomes a bit of a lottery as well. You have to get lucky and get an open piece of track, be on the right rubber at just the right moment, and be fortunate enough to miss any 'obstacles' like standing water or wet kerbs to get a good run. This is especially true if the rain is intermittent like it was in qualifying at Malaysia this year.

Excellent point man. Seems like it'd have to be raining ALL THE TIME to be fair to everybody. We're about to find out in a few hours.

Also too much rain to postpone qualifying....a bit of splash on the track during race will be fun and challenge the judgement of drivers and team...

Red Bull proves to be the best this year. Better luck next yr McLaren and Ferrari. For constructor and driver champ. McLaren has to be on poll every race for them to snatch the constructor and LH has to win all 3 races with MW come in higher than 4th in one of those races. Ferrari has no hope for the contructor but FA could snatch his 3rd world champ if he continue to have the paste and luck.

the RB6 chassis is like a perfect marriage with Suzuka and Silverstone....
However, the next three (or two) races will be very interesting.....

Korea is a total unknown ground for them...new pavement, possible weather (?), brand new track, where i heard players from F1 2010 said Sector 1 will be like Suzuka which suited red Bull, but Sectors 2 and 3 will be like Hockenheim....where McLaren and Ferrari are a bit better.....

Brazil is always a championship decider....and weather played part of it in the past two years (2008 and qualify 2009)...i'd bet RBR will have the advantage here....

Abu Dhabi is a mix of sweeps and long straights...a balanced track so might be a fair fight for all three constructors.....

So where will Massa be Driving Next Year?

I'd say between qualifying and his first lap foolishness, he is done at Ferrari. Anyone think the rumor about them going after Kubica is true?

Damn, just 3 (or 2?) more races for MW to DNF . Man, 2 cars retired for falling wheels (RK and NR) is ridiculous. Guess they're going to track who installed them and fired them, no?

Hey gang, have a few stupid questions:
-What's the deal with car damage when someone else clearly causes the accident, like Masa today? Do teams go after one another, or their insurance companies, or everybody takes care of their damaged car whatever the reason of the accident?
- By the same token, when it's driver stupidity, are they financially responsible in any way to the team? Just curious.
-Why can all cars get new engines in Abu Dhabi (last race)??? So they don't break down on the last race?
-Is Korea going to be ready? Any Koreans that can give us a real answer? Please say yes . And what happens if not? Would it be postponed or just canceled?

Finally, I think Kubica would be right on top with the right car; it'd be great if Ferrari gets him, and see him kick FA's ass . And Rosberg wouldn't be too far behind. I like that kid. Did you hear his answer when asked what he needed to win? 'A Redbull car' Ha ha. He immediately retracted the comment saying he was joking. A pretty good joke indeed, but I bet MB wasn't laughing.
