RB26 the good ol' gentlemen's 280hp agreement.

Remove the cats with a bit of tune, these things punch out 350 easily.

A great, feel-good story. I'd rather get the original GTR though. Much more of a classic feel.

Interesting read, highlighting some facts around that.

Stock engines dyno'd over 320 whp, The sky is the limit with that engine. 600HP on stock internals, no problem.

I saw one r34 but it was not registered, so technically illegal, r34 will be legals once 25 years have passed since its productions, r34 was produced from 1999–2002, so it will be legal to import one in 2024

the reason why you might see some r34 registered is because a number of years ago it was legal to do so in Florida through a loophole. The shell and engine were imported separately and the car was registered as a kit car, however the authorities caught onto that and that too was stopped.

THere's gotta be close to 100 R32s running around Calgary. Maybe 2 or 3 are in good, clean condition, most are non-turbo and beat up junk cars that some 20 year old drives.

The Skyline in the picture isn't an R32, it's an R34, which is not even close to 25 years old.

Woops my mistake someone has completely shat on an R32 and killed whatever value the car had by turning it into a fake R34.

Real R32's are like hens teeth and becoming pretty valuable. A mint Aussie new R32 (the only export market outside of Japan) without mods will cost you around 70k USD in Australia.

if you read the page description on the dealership, it tells you that this is an r32 conversion to r34...

Direct quote from the dealer website:

"The car has the rare BEE*R R34 front end and wide body kit. This is the most highly sought after body kit for the R32."

I've seen loads of GT-R's they are dirt cheap in NZ, but I've never seen one with this kit. IMO it's killed any value the car had. A completely unmolested R32 is worth 70k USD plus, whereas a screwed around with one could be had for 10-15k.

I totally agree, my favorite is the r34, but I would never put a body kit on an r32 to make it look like an r34. At this point the r32 is a classic and I would keep it as close to stock as possible

"Rare and highly sought after body kit"

Too bad California still has its own stringent import/emissions laws on the State level.
Even though you can now legally have R32s stateside on the Federal level, it is still near impossible to register them in Cali & many people here are having to register them out of state.
So in practice these are now 49 State Legal.
