does anyone know where i can find a usb a female to usb a female? or usb a female to usb b female?

The first one is just a USB extension cord. The second should just be your normal USB cable.

Are you looking for something shorter, like the old USB -> PS/2 connector in a version less than an inch?

actually, a normal usb cable is male to female. i'm looking for a female to female usb adapter.

F-F is usually the extension cord type. I've used them to go longer distances to peripherals.
