I was going to say that same thing (minus the CPA part).

I work hard, and I play hard.

I work for a phone company, and am a supervisor of sorts. I also dabble with the stock market.

so for the folks that had their parents purchase their car, i honestly dont know how they afford such "impulse buys". they're still in school with part time jobs probably paying $10-$15/hr. i can only come up with a few options. they are really good with savings, have a very generous allowance, has a "side" job or are gonna die in credit card debt.
I don't fall under any of these. I'm 19, and enrolled in college. I paid for my car myself. While I do have a (very) small "scholarship," it in no way helped me pay for my car.

That being said; I do not personally pay for school. I'm fortunate enough to have a loving family, who have done very well for themselves, that provide the finances for my education.

I work hard, I make my money, and I spend it on things that I can enjoy when I'm not working!

I fall in student category... btw... but I don't have my car yet...
Leasing isn't that big of a deal if you having a regular 9-5 job that pays a decent amount of money - $50k.

If you look at the meets around here you'll notice the kids here are in their 20's and I'm sure most of them are leases or bought for them by their parents or their parents helped them out. I'm sure there are a few that own the car outright, but I would be atypical.

I just import containers with cheap items for wholesalers from the east. Work 2 - 3 times a week. Have salesmen to do the work.
Its a matter of connections. Connections makes the different. Get freindly with the right people. Never crawl - stay cool. Make it clear that you dont need them - but they need you to make more money.
Just the way i did it.
And rule nr. 1: Business is FUN

Generally speaking that would be correct. However there are the select few that wont. A few very wealthy and prominent people come to mind...

Read Benjamin Grahm "The Intelligent Investor", study, work hard, and save. Your time will come. Remember, the richest guy on the planet is a value investor.

Btw. my dad always said "Today is the poorest day of your life". He meant by working hard and saving, your knowledge and wealth should grow over time.

exactly
it's all about who you know

I always say this to my friends and they think I'm full of shit...
they are like "education" blah blah blah

people prefer dealing with people who are interesting, connected, social than some guy with a PhD out of harvard who cannot give you 10mins worth of good conversation.

when I choose what company I'm going to deal with, I look at how much I like dealing with a person more than how much they charge... I'd rather buy from a friend who is a little more expensive than some guy i dont know who is cheap...
it's the way the world works...

the more people u know, the more set you are

that's the key to success
most billionaires don't even have a college degree
