Just got an email saying my diff has been shipped. That was quick! I thought we had to wait for everyone else to pay. Can't wait to lay down double licorice strips! (in a private place off public roads of course)

Apparently my diff has landed in Sydney on Sunday morning! Should get it in the next few days! If anyone is considering jumping in on this, super fast shipping!

For those in Sydney that have this fitted, where did you go and how much did you pay for installation?

PM's sent last week to those that had additional queries.

MFactory AUS confirmed they will hold this GB open for the eligible LSD until end of November.

my diff builder is going to sort out the shims himself
according to him, and also advice i've received from mfactory, this is something a savvy diff builder can get himself from other car manufacturers (holden parts etc), people in the industry etc. BMW will not sell you internal differential parts.

Thanks guys

Interested to see what the stealer price is. ECS prices look good!
I heard the half shaft seals were $95 a side from the stealer.

So do we need all of these?:

http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E92-335...Differential/2

I was told it was just the half shaft seals which ever those are?

from that link you'll need
1 x 'Shaft Seal' - 33107609536
and either
2 x 'Output Shaft Seal' - 33107505604 (up to 09/2007)
or;
2 x 'Output Shaft Seal' - 33107505605 (from to 09/2007)

FOR those looking for a diff builder mine does private jobs at home in Haberfield, Sydney. not sure he'd want all the business but i'll definitely ask and post back here if he's keen.

edit: fixed a mistake in the part numbers

if you're removing your differential at home you'll need a thin 50mm spanner to remove the drive shaft nut. the cheapest i've found (thanks to a thread on n54tech.com) is this:

http://www.cripedistributing.com/kd3...ut-wrench.html

they ship to australia, too. bonus.

pics here of the nut in question: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=806041

Stealer wants :

Axle seals (x2) - Part: 33107505605 - $81.80 ea
Drive shaft seal - Part: 33107609536 - $115 ea

ECS WITH FEDEX 2 DAY DELIVERY IS $112 !!

How do the dealers justify this???

Just checking, is this right? Both of these part number descriptions say Seals the axles into the differential. One for a pre 09/2007 and the other for post 09/2007.

I only ask as I am about to order.

I thought you would need 2 axle seals and one drive shaft seal (same for all E92 - 33107609536)
