KW V1 installed on E90 335i xDrive

I read every thread 5 times, purchased a Bilstein/Eibach setup, read every thread 5 more times, let the parts sit in the garage, returned that setup and got the KWs. If you are considering the Eiback "i" springs for an xDrive car, you owe it to yourself to read this thread at least once. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=857285
It effectively talked me out of the Eibachs for an xDrive car and I think I've made the right decision.

Wheel and tire sizes are stock 18" staggered with a 10mm front and 12mm rear spacer. 1-2 finger gap all the way around. Measurements from the concrete in my garage are 24 7/8" front (12 threads left to go) and 25 1/4" rear(10 threads left to go).

It sits right where I want it. I don't mind a little bit of the raked look. The parking lot these pictures were taken in make it look more than it is. I am going to get some better shots.

I drive about 15k miles a year, so this had to be daily driver and wife friendly. It is. The best way to describe it is if you have swapped out your run flats for non, it's no more of a harsh ride than going back to run flats. Big difference is the highway speed "controlled" feel of the road, and the way the car stays flat around off ramps and sweeping curves. Dips, bumps, even speed bumps in my office park are handled with no problems at all.

Thanks to Hadley for the test ride, Tiago for the customer service and to dave96dcm for the installation.

I just placed my order with Tiago for my KW V1s and I'm also planning to keep my OEM 193M wheels. I was going to go for a 12mm spacer up front and a 15 or 18mm at the back. Do you think you had room for thicker spacers?

I just bought 15mm last night. Going to move my 12mm to the front and 15mm on the rear. M.a.r.k.u.s had success with those sizes on stock 193 and tires.

looks great! going to the 12/15 combo on spacers will fill the void nicely. im at 18x8.5 et 28 up front with a 235/40/18 and it fits perfect.

Looks great! Like you said, one of the first things I noticed, outside of the physical appearance, was that there is much more of a controlled feel on the highways.

One question I have on these. As you adjust up and down, does that affect the ride quality? Does a car with V1s that has them adjusted up higher have more dampening than a car that is adjusted closer to the limit of drop?

We have identical cars, down to the tires. This make the decision easy!

Ride quality is not affected by adjusting up or down although I did notice when I increased the height in the rear that the noise when going over expansion joints and sharp bumps was decreased.

any pics with the 15 spacers? i have the same wheels and they are also staggered and i don't want too much of a raked look so i want to balance the front and back

does the coupe have any more/less room in the rear fenders versus the sedan?

thanks

Very nice how were the kw v1 compared to stock ? Any issues with kw v1 and did spacers changed handling ? Also is there a big difference look wise ?

V1s ride great. They make you realize how lacking the OEM suspension is.

Spacers are for looks as far as I'm concerned. Drastically improve the way the car looks.
