I definately hate it when people say the E92 is a waste of money and that the 135i and the R32 Gti should be the only alternatives. 135i i could understand but wtf a R32 GTI? I know this VW fanboi that keeps saying that the E92 328i < R32 in all aspects.

True. I've found that most automotive hate threads really only serve to prove the near total ignorance of the people doing the hating. Never saw the point of being proud of being narrowminded and hateful.

It saddens me that supposed automotive enthusasts act this way. But the more time I hang around marque forums, the more I see of it.

I don't hate any car as a type. There may be some individual examples that I've owned that I disliked, but often there have been other examples of the same make/model that I've enjoyed. I've had a number of the cars that people here hate, and have enjoyed them.

There are. The few people that overlooked its styling found a well packaged utility vehicle that turned out to actually be pretty well built, and a good dollar value for what you got (especially in AWD form, where it was nearly $10k less than the AWD Montana minivan it was based on).

The way it's played in modern society is "I hate X, thus anyone who likes it is stupid and I hate them too." This is a positive value and attitude? I ask this, why is it important to justify BEING hateful? Why is it a desirable state of mind? Is this some sort of new positive mental state that I'm not aware of? Or did the whole Golden Rule simply get dropped from the learning curve of modern society?

Buy what you like, and let others buy what they like without being judgemental and insulting towards them for doing so. Their reasons for liking what they like are as valid as your reasons for liking what you like.

I'm extremely passionate about car design, so I want to feel one way or the other. I don't want to feel indifferent about a car's design. There are obviously cars where I just plain don't care (in other words, don't hate), but for me it's mostly one way or the other. And I'm mostly referring to design here, not the car as an overall package.

Perhaps, but there's no doubting the fact that it's possibly one of the ugliest cars (if not the ugliest) to have come out in the past few decades. You can't place a value on looks in my opinion.

Fair argument, but it has nothing to do with why I hate certain cars. I never press my opinion on another's, and it's definitely not out of ignorance for why I hate them. Refer to my previous post.
