BMW Genuine Sports Leather Steering Wheel with Trim--for Paddle Gear Shifters
BMW 2009 335i Coupe Sport Steering Wheel for Paddle Gear Shifters--with Trim Cover--only 2 months old as I upgraded to an MSport wheel shortly after buying the new vehicle. This item is in new condition as the car only had 1,800 miles on it when upgraded. Important--this wheel is only for vehicles that have Paddle Gear Shifters. Selling Price: $299 plus $20 Ground Shipping. Those interested should go to this link as credit card payment is set up here: http://www.justparts.com/Listing/Def...x?lid=19826880 The BMW Dealer tells me a new sport steering wheel from BMW lists for $600 (not to be confused with wheels not supporting Paddle Shifters which are only $385 new). BMW part number 32306777631. This will fit the following BMW models 2005-2009: E92, E90, E93, E91, and E82. However the car MUST have Paddle Gear Shifters for this Steering Wheel. Debuting in the US in 2006, the E90 is the 325i/x and 330i/x models. Touring (E91)Sports Wagon model of the 3-Series. Coupe (E92) The two-door coupe model of the 3-Series became available in August 2006. Cabriolet (E93)the 3 Series convertible. 1-Series (E82) |

I don't have pics with the paddles installed as they are on the wheel I now have installed in the car.
I found a similar picture if it helps. But as mentioned, your car must have paddles already to be able to use the wheel I am selling. |

The BMW dealer I got the information from is the largest in the USA, so I think they know the facts--steering wheels that support paddles are much more expensive than those that don't. They are not referring to wheels that come with Paddles in this case, they are talking about those that can support Paddles. In any case, if someone wants to make a reasonable offer I will consider it. Otherwise I'll hold onto the wheel for a while.

All--I found this post on another forum. It talks about someone who bought this same wheel new (in 2007) and the other parts to enable Paddle Gear shifting in his Bimmer:
Here is the link and I copied in some text below: http://www.bimmerpost.com/forums/arc...p/t-69393.html ---------------------------- Hi Johnny. I have a 335i (e92). I am told the wheel will fit any e9x. My car came without the paddles and I ordered the required parts to make the conversion. This conversion required a new steering wheel too. Here is a copy of my post (http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...goto=newpost): I arrived at my dealer’s service centre today. I left the car and sat in the waiting room for 2 hours while I waited for the bulk of the work to be done. At this point I ventured down to the workshop where I met the techo doing the job. He turned out to be a BMW master technician and was quite a good guy. He said the job was not all that difficult – just a little fiddly. It involved adding the paddles to the new wheel and then installing it in place of the old one. The airbag and wheel facia is transferred across. (Note: You cannot fit paddles to a non-paddle steering wheel). He then had to remove the lower part of the dash, cupholders and glove box to run a wire to the ECU connector somewhere in the firewall. He did not need to open the bonnet. His final step was re-programming the ECU to reset the airbag and activate the paddles. This took about 20 minutes – roughly 2 hours and 20 minutes in total. The paddles feel great and work perfectly. The parts list: · M*32340393578 Screw US$6.00 · W*61316973934 Shift level US$201.23 · W*61316973933 Shift lever US$201.23 · W*61319123287 Switch US$161.43 · W*61130006663 Contact US$6.39 · W*32306777631 Steering Wheel US$561.55 |

I see Tischer is selling this wheel for about $450 with paddles (they did not indicate trim). With this in mind I decreased my price to $199.
The link in the first post above has been changed by the web site as they updated their system. Here is the new link for this Wheel posting: http://www.justparts.com/Listing/Def...x?lid=19826880 Last edited by dave7933; 11-01-2009 at 08:16 AM.. Reason: New Link Posted |

Dude, you need to stop making price comparisons to dealerships it will not get you anywhere. Do a price comparison on how much people on this forum sell for. Do a quick search and try your best to set your asking price around what people have sold it for previously. Good luck.

Good point. I have just had a hard time finding something identical. It seems a lot of the wheels are not meant for paddles, or do not have the trim, or are quite a bit older--or do not even list a price (they say PM them). My wheel is almost new. This one looks to be similar but older:
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...steering+wheel and the price was close to what I am asking now. |

Someone explain to me how a brand new wheel selling for $450-$600 sells for only $80-$100 when used for only a few weeks. I know of no other merchandise pricing structure of any type whether it be car related, electronics related, etc.

Just the way it is. From what i've witnessed, it doesn't matter if its brand new or used. As long as the condition is 9/10 or 10/10 people will expect to pay the same. These are the prices that have been established and there isn't much you can do I'm afraid. It doesn't mean much when the dealership sells the wheel brand new for $450-$600 because someone can easily, right now, find a brand new COMPLETE steering wheel for that price. Just gotta do research man, you'll see that the demand for a ZSP wheel with paddles is very low.

sorry mate, didn't mean to jack your thread but you'll never sell it at that price. Ebay is your best bet...I'm just being honest
