Software update of the whole car

Hi,

is it possible to update the "whole" car with the BMW standard tools like a dealer could do? My car hasn't had an update since 2010. Are the files somewhere "available"? I have an E90.

Make sure you use an external power supply if you are flashing all modules in one hit.

Just one quick question, i tried to google it, does the original BMWhat USB OBD2 interface works or should i buy an INPA K + DCAN USB Interface (some generic cable from Amazon).

Garage List
Had my 09' since new & it has never been updated - there aren't any updates of much consequence to install - unless you know of something important that needs updated?

If it ain't broke - don't fix it

Yes, i read on a german E90 forum that the engine software was modified (original BMW update) in 2013 and it helped with buzzing (drone) of the engine.

With ista-p connect the car and it will tell what modules need an update.
With winkfp hit update enter zcs nummer and code.
Keep in mind equipment on the MOST you should program it using Icom B.
Ista-p does this automatically for you but winkfp you have to set in manually.
