I need opinions/advice

Hey guys I ordered AR 4" Catless Downpipe and a BMS Intake for my 2012 N55 335i AT. I'm wondering what would or should be the next thing I get? You guys think maybe an intercooler or maybe do the JB4? Charge pipe? Idk what you guys think?

You'll need something for the inevitable Check Engine Light.

Burger doesn't sell their Performance products in California anymore.

If you choose to tune for the DP, the FMIC & charge pipe will be needed; unless you can exhibit more constraint than the average owner that adds performance parts to a turbo based car.

Order the JB4 through a 3rd party vendor and I think they will ship to CA. JB4 will definitely be your biggest increase.

I would do the charge pipe and JB4 at the same time.

Wow I just found out last night that Burger Motorsports can't sell their products in CA anymore? Wtf, stupid CARB yuppies...that pisses me off so much. I regret moving here. So I got a refund for my intake from Bms and just ordered it from Modbargan. How do I fix the check engine light? Also I don't really need the charge pipe yet do I? Should I just get Jb4 next?

The check engine light is from the DP. The intake will not cause a CEL. You will need a charge pipe if you plan on running a JB4 since the stock charge pipe is made of plastic. It is more of a preventative measure to keep you from being stranded on the side of the road.

Ahhh...ok so I should get the charge pipe, then get the JB4 and tuning it will also remove my check engine light from the DP? Do you think I need an intercooler now?

Yes. And yes the JB4 will cancel out the CEL from the DP. I wouldn't say that you NEED an intercooler but it has been proven to be very beneficial.

Hmmm ok now I understand. Thanks so much for all the help man, I wish there was a way to give you like a 5* rating lol. I think I will get a BMS Charge Pipe from a 3rd party then and then get the JB4 and think about the intercooler. But wait can BMS still do all the tuning and installation for my JB4?

Installation of the JB4 is very easy. You can probably post something on the regional forum and get someone in your area to give you a hand the first time you install it. I installed it by myself the first time and had no issues at all. You don't need to do any tuning. The JB4 does everything on its own. I'd get the USB Cable along with it though and run ISO. Everything you need to know for that is here http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17800

ER charge pipes are very nice too. Might be worth checking them out, they are very popular.

1 is enough. Also, it's pretty hard to mess it up. the jb4 really only goes on one way and the wiring harness is set up so that you can't plug it into the wrong sensors. It all makes a lot of sense once you have the jb4 and you have your hood open.

Hey guys what's an EGT Bung 1/8 NPT regarding the AR Catless Downpipe? Should I have ordered mine with that?

Exhaust gas temperature. Just a bung to add a temperature sensor if you want to monitor it.

No, most people don't use them anymore. They used to be big back in the day.
