Fair price to pay for an 08 535xi?

Hey guys im in the market for a 5 series bmw and I came across a 2008 535xi with 62k miles on it and was wondering whats a "fair" price to pay, the dealer is told me it could be mine taxt, title, prep etc. out the door for $20,900 im pretty confident he will go down to $20,000 if he does is this a good deal? Car is clean has service records, clean carfax etc. Im looking to use the car for a year or so and then sell it for an m3. What is a good price to make sure I can still get MOST of my money back a year later?

Just quickly did a completed listing search on eBay and found a white 2008 78k mileage with options that sold for 15,900. Kbb and eBay will give you enough to decide with the market.

I was thinking $18k for the car, so with taxes and fees, $20k is about right.

Thanks for the feedback! Ive been looking on cars.com/ autotrader/ ebay but the issue ive been running into is dealers list them as "online prices" an when you go there they are $2500 more then advertised! So its very hard to get an accurate retail price

$20,900 is way too high. I've been shopping my loaded 06 530xi albeit w high miles and offers range from $7-$8000. Even a 2008 w 62k has got lots of maintenance upcoming plus the risk of catastrophic failures. You can have mine for $9500 and I've done a LOT of maintenance on it the last 2 months.
