A Missouri mother is facing child abuse and second-degree murder charges this week after being accused of allowing -- and perhaps even encouraging -- her sex-offender boyfriend to rape her young daughter.

Prosecutors allege that Howell knew her boyfriend, Jordan Lafayette Prince, was a convicted child abuser and allowed him to spend time with her daughter Ashlynn. They say she was in the trailer with him when he allegedly raped and strangled the 4-month-old girl last December, according to the St. Charles County Prosecutor's complaint.

Details in the murder case against Jessica Lynn Howell were released this week, according to Missouri Fox affiliate KTVI. St. Charles Prosecuting Attorney Tim Lohmar told the station that text messages between Howell and Prince suggest Howell openly allowed the sexual abuse to occur.

“In those text messages she suggested and encouraged some unspeakable things,” Lohmar said. “It is very, very disturbing.”

Prince, meanwhile, has been indicted on counts of first-degree murder, as well as child abuse and forcible sodomy, according to local station KMOV.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that Prince had previously been found guilty of abusing a 4-year-old in Idaho. Howell reportedly knew about the incident and actually confirmed her boyfriend's police record through an Internet search.

Howell, who has previously been charged with child endangerment, according to the paper, is in jail with a $1 million bond.

This is where I am severly pissed off with our judicial system and the fact that we lack public stonings and hangings. These people deserve the absolute worst punishment that could be fathomed. I suspect the mother will go to jail and the abuser MIGHT get the death penalty.

Oh they will. Generally these scum don't last long. However, if the case is high profile, they will separate them from general population to avoid getting beaten to death.

This is sadly true. There is a case near where I live where a mother and step father (I may have those mixed) as well as a step son all abused, starved and raped a daughter of one of the parents. The girl was forced to live the in basement and eat her own feces. It was released today that they are all getting 5 years in prison, and will be separated from the general population. The DA was seeking 148 years for just the step brother, more for the other 2. There is a petition going around to get the judge removed, which already has almost enough signatures in 48 hours. Fuck our "justice system" in this country.

I personally wish our government would stop worrying about stupid shit, and spend more time on finding these nuts cases, Our government is so worry about what consenting adults do in the piracy of their bed room that are letting people like this walk around.

Over the last two years I been noticing a trend in my local paper, everday or week I read about two type of criminals, those who pray on kids like this and those who steal money from their employers bank accounts.

Most of the idiot preying on kids usually have jobs working with kids, well they should be spending more time with checking these people out, I am sorry if want to work with kids then you should going threw all kinds of back ground checks, you can not own a gun today without a background check buy you surely can work with kids without a second thought.

The government rather have police riding around issuing ticket verse actually trying to find creeps like these two.
