F30 sport steering wheel swap with limited functions

Hello,

I know there are previous threads about this swap but I am wondering if I can swap the steering wheels as pictured. I don’t intend to make the cruise control work, what I would like to use are only the volume up and down buttons and that’s all as I don’t use the other buttons now at all (my car doesn’t have a BT connection). Is the airbag connection the same? I would purchase a new steering wheel with an airbag module. Would this be a difficult swap, does the new steering wheel fit or would it need modifications? The car is an european model, so would the new steering wheel be.

the mount hole thread pattern on steering wheel from f30 is not compatible with e9x

the buttons probably also will not work because, to install more advanced M-Sport streering wheel from f10 to e70(x5) special protocol converter required.
