2008 Corvette + $3K in mods equals.....

506 rwhp 457 rwtq!!

That's just a base C6 not a Z06. The LS3 motor is turning out to love mods. LG Motorsports in Dallas added the following to a new 2008 to get those numbers....

LG Motorsports G6X-4 cam
LG Pro Long TUbe Headers
K&N Air Charger
Match Ported intake
UD Pulley

You frisky 335 guys better think twice about messing with them I don't care what version of Procede, TT, or whatever you're running. That thing is a Z06 killer.

so far...headers, off-road x-pipe (no cats), callaway intake, ported tb and intake, and tuned. I only spent about $2,100 on that and I'm right at 380 RWHP / 375 RWTQ (Mustang MD-1100SE Dyno not a Dyno jet) with that.

I'm going to add LG's g5x3 cam and retune it sometime in the next month or so, after that I'll be putting down about 440-450 RWHP. I could take it to ~500 RWHP if I changed the heads as well.

Yeah, the C6 'Vettes are downright crazy, and the '08 Vette is going to be even crazier. I wouldn't really mess with any of them (especially if they're modded), but trying to keep up could be fun.

I'm going to have to keep modding my '07 just to keep up with the '08's but I'm going to have fun doing it.

It's accelerating really fast. Bad thing is the M3 seems to be getting left behind and it's not even out of the gate yet. There's no way that BMW can allow the new M3 to be unchanged for 5-6 years like the E46 was. Things are moving too fast now.

z06 beat up viper 07. Mopar got embarrassed so they boost up for another 100 hp gain for 08 viper.

here's a couple...the center console lid is an upgrade I bought from an interior/trim place in Texas, Down South Vettes. The thing has great leather and about 2-3 inches of padding, it's like a pillow for your elbow. :rocks:

The guy who owns it does all the work himself and sells full leather upgrade kits for the interior. High quality stuff.

LOL, all of the above. Hell, the base C7 Vette for 2009-10 is rumored to be 500+ HP and have a mid-level 600+ version and the 700+HP "Blue Devil".

Granted the M3 and Vette are different animals to a certain extent and BMW doesn't target it when designing the M3 but there will be plenty who do follow it's lead and increase HP to keep close. If BMW isn't careful and takes the same tack as with the E46 M3, the new one is liable to have cars that shouldn't be breathing down it's neck in a couple of years.

Great stuff, I almost bought a used '06 but needed to seat more than 2.
Random question, how is the navi on that thing compared to the bimmer's? I didn't pay attention while test-driving, I was too preoccupied with the engine.
