Attention All 335i owner sedan or coupe

if we have everyone owned 335i sedan or coupe get together and petition to Department of Transportation. The reason, the car is unsafe to drive in extreme condition. If everyone go write a letter to the congressmen about this issue, i m pretty sure we can get it recall n fix their mistake.. What do you guys think? One voice wont do anything, but many will change the world..

like recall for the Fuel Pump . oil cooler

Some 335i owners have had problems with overheating. BMW has been retrofitting oil coolers for some of them. It's even mentioned in the G37 v. 335i shoot-out in C&D this month.

If you have not notice, the 335i sedan and coupe having a miss and hit issue. Some car have High fuel pump issue, other have does not have oil cooler. The oil will go super hot with or without oil cooler. I dont have sport package; it does not mean i have to suffer over heatting on my car. What if we can solve it by demanding BMW to do a total recall on replace the old fuel pump with a new and add or replace oil cooler for all 335i. Im down with class action law suit.. We need to do is write it to Department of Transportation demand bmw to do their recall on these two issue.!!

From what I understand (granted, not much ) you'd have to show that owners incurred significant damages as a result of missing oil coolers and bad fuel pumps. Unfortunately, being inconvenienced is hard to quantify as a form of damage. There would have to be a disproportionate number of accidents/injuries attributed to faulty equipment to make a case...especially a class action law suit.

Granted, I'm not a lawyer...so I might be 100% wrong; certainly wouldn't be the first time.

Tort Law

A class of people would have to prove damages and negligence..... Good Luck.

You would be better off getting a sympathetic ear at BMWUSA or even DOT.

the evident r when your car stalled in the middle of nowhere. someone rob you cause they think you have money.. it can be dangerous. Sometime it can relate to murder. Well so far we have not reach that far yet.. you could be right about regarding to your statement. I have taken couple business law when i was at University Southern California. There is no clause, the case might throw out from the court. However, we can send a good Message to the BMW Car Maker. BMW owner cant be push around and lie to. I believe BMW value their Reputation name; they should do something about it. Reputation in Auto world is like gold mine. That is what happen to Chrysler and Ford car maker. Both had too many recall in the past, they are in finance trouble right now.

You have no damages - BMW is repairing stuff under warranty
You have no evidence of any negligence from BMW

Any legal action right now would be a complete waste of time. Contact BMWUSA nicely if you have a problem. It would appear you were not raised in the USA, frivilous lawsuits are a waste of everyone's time.

I believe the oil cooler issues is Karma's way of telling you that you should not have bought an automatic...it's for girls. My car has had zero issues and BMW has already addressed the oil coooler issue.
