Nice car and nice pics as well.

I think i've seen the exact same pics in MYis. forum. Anyways, good luck with your car and congrats.

EDIT: Never mind, it is the exact same pics i'm talking about.

The car gets very hot actually when driving for a while. Yesterday I was driving and could feel the heat emanating from the car. I'm like so that's what those vents on the side are for. So I put my hand near the vents and could feel heat there too.

I think I didn't like it at first, but then I don't even think about it anymore. I'm used to the way it looks. I love the way the exhaust sounds when stepping on it though! Is it you don't liked the stacked look?

So are the vents on the fenders functional or not? I was told by another ISF owner that they are real and functional.

I don't know if you consider heat dissipation as functionality, but I could feel heat in the area when I put my hand near the vents. Additional places for heat to escape.

Oh and I was looking at my exhaust today too. I know there was lots of talk about the fake tips and so forth. I can take a picture later, but my tips fit into the holes, so if you look at the bottom, it looks like it fits into the exhaust tips. It's not touching the exhaust tips, but they are fed into them. Later if I have a chance I'll try to take pics.

Actually, I recall seeing a photo a while ago of a blue IS-F and someone stuck their hands up in you can see his fingers showing through the tips. I can't quite do that with mine.

Yeah, it doesn't make any sense to me...it just doesn't look right.

The Ferrari California has a similar looking tip configuration as the IS-F.

Yes, that makes it functional. My friend said that the side vents are actual vents, meaning they have holes. Supposedly The air goes straight back to the upper middle front wheel wells area and it's pointed to the big ass brembo brakes.

The answer to that is no. But I do know that in other posts, it had been said that the exhaust do not even fit into the sleeves of the faux exhaust tips. I even saw an earlier image of someone putting his hands between the exhaust (actual) and the tips. I think for the actual production units, they changed that because mine extend into the tips but are not physically connected.

Yes I'll post pics when I have a chance.

I know that it vents warm air out, but I don't think they will cool the Brembo brakes at all. If you look at the front of the car, you'll see large cooling ducts that channel directly to the brakes.

See in my picture below, the area to the left of the fog lights really is a huge area where are can flow through.

These photos make me want to really like this car. Good camera skills man. I just can't seem to warm up to the design. Still, we all have our preferences and congrats to you for the car!

Like I said in a previous post, I would love to photograph one of the new M3's. I'm in the RI area. I think the M3 looks real nice.
