For the Fellas...
How many of you guys are the cooks of the house? I don't just mean "grill" time either! I mean everyday. I get home from the office sooner than my wife so I'm stuck with cooking. Better this way, my wife isn't a really good cook! She even knows this... I never learned to cook, always had moms when I was younger and I ate out alot when I was older. I have become a pretty good cook, and I'm trying to expand and learn! I like it mostly, but there are times, like everybody else, when I get home, I'm really tired and don't feel like cooking.
Who else cooks? Danny

I never learned how to cook either. Started off with basic recipes, then graduated to more complex, gourment type recipes. Now I basically wing it in the kitchen...so far so good.
I basically get my techniques and recipes from Food Network...with hosts like Giada De Laurentiis I can't help but watch and learn. Plus, can't forget the "kool-aid points" you get for cooking your girl a home cooked dinner. |

Well, I have to.
My GF only visits at the weekends, so I do most of the cooking. I'm becoming better and better, but mostly I'm too destracted by e90post.com when I get home from work... |

Hell Ya! Food Network rules!!! I'm not really an Emeril kind of guy though, but he does have some stuff!
My wife is a baker, which I soon found out has NOTHING to do with cooking! They don't go hand-in-hand! But I don't mean to imply that my wife doesn't take care of me, she would cook if she had to...but like I said, I'm glad she doesn't! Danny

I'm single and do NO cooking. Frozen skillet dinners and rotisserie chickens are my Friend. I eat for convenience, but make sure that its quality food at the same time.
Parentals live down the street though, and mom has been known to drop off some hot meals every now and then.

I clean as I cook so I don't have a big mess afterwards to clean up! My wife on the other hand, the few times she cooks, the kitchen looks like a diaster area!

I have been cooking since I was a 10-years-old, but it was my passion for food that compelled me to take cooking classes at a Midwestern EuroBistro. It's fun to go out and try different restaurants. It's equally fun to prepare, cook, and make something special for others.

I go through waves....I can cook certain dishes...but I have to be shown how to make it. I can't just blindly follow a recipe. I need to see it done...then I can reproduce it from then on.
What can I say...I am a visual learner. But, I prefer when women cook for me..........that is the shit!

i cook... but its a real pain in the ass when u have other stuff you gotta do too... i mean cooking means... time spent buying ingredients, time spent cooking, time spent trying to enjoy what you made, and then time spent cleaning...
