Need help on wheel size and rubbing issues please

I have a 2009 E92 335i with m sport suspension (stock). Right now I have 18x9 +33mm m359 reps square setup (I don't think they are Avant Garde but not sure since I bought car used).

I recently upgraded tires to pilot sport A/S 235/40 front 265/35 back and I'm experiencing rubbing on the front and back but the back is much worse (front is only when I turn the wheel a lot). I admit I didn't do enough research but almost all online forums people were running a similar setup or even bigger tires without running into any rubbing issues.

When replacing tires I was notified that one of my back rims is cracked so I need to replace it and was thinking of getting silver wheels anyway (mine are black right now). Looking at Avant Garde m359 18x8.5 front 18.9.5 back. What offset should I be getting in order to get less tire rub? There's an option for +45mm.

I'm also planning on rolling back fenders and replacing rear shocks (putting in Bilstein B6) and bump stops since I'm pretty sure the back bump stops are completely worn out. Maybe this could be another reason for rubbing?

Sorry for the jumble of information just looking for any help because I can't find any information online.

Thank you

I own the same model and have CSL Rep wheels on order, they're back ordered for another two or three. I ordered 18x8.5 ET35 and 18x9.5 ET33 and I'll transfer my PS4S' 235/40/18 and 265/35/18 from my current 189's. I would check the front liners and oil cooler vent, mine does rub sometimes on full lock turns. I do not rub on the rear but I suspect your shocks are likely nearly dead and need replacement, I wouldn't roll the fenders but address the wheel/tire issue first. I will post my current setup with the Style 189's and tires listed above.

Ok thank you. I'll check that and I already ordered the shocks for replacement.

These are some pictures of mine right now:

msport=b8, yup, 9.5 with et45 (or high 30's) should be good and allow u 5mm spacer (still hub centric) to fine tune and 8.5 et 35 front. Tires are done; very compromised. Verify where it rubs—usually the same spot on the on the front and rear, fender/bumper connection

My tires are compromised? They’re brand new. And I just realized my fenders are already rolled so It must be the suspension. And yes thank you I’ll get et45 on the rear with b8s

Yes, that tire is compromised and I would have someone look at it or have a spare in the trunk in case it fails.

I am of the mindset that tires are the most important safety item, and any sidewall damage is unacceptable. seen worse though, and that is a quality-built tire, up to you, but I would definitely keep a keen eye on it
