Talking I Must Be Getting Old Purchases...

LOL! So I went to one of my favorite stores: Home Depot (also love me some Lowes too) to look at a replacement range top. Glad I did because they had it on sale but when I went to check their website for reviews it was even lower! So grabbed that for delivery. But I decided to look at the fridges too as I have at Lowes. It's one of those "Big Ticket" items that I don't necessarily need, but would like and could use some of the amazing new features, extra space and Energy Star ratings. So I narrowed my choices down between a Samsung and this brand new top o the line LG. Both brands I am a huge fan of. Particularly LG. The 2 of them are very comparable in features and pricing. But the nod goes to LG for just a lil more ingenious shelving and storage. Man this thing is friggin AMAZING guys!!! I can't really describe it so here's the direct link:
http://www.lg.com/us/refrigerators/l...r-refrigerator
But even seeing it online doesn't do it justice! It is so big and spacious! And the LED lighting inside is just cool looking. But the middle drawer where my sons can simply open it for snacks and drinks without opening either door is sweetness. But it doesn't end there... They went and added a "door within a door" to access a gallon of Milk and more frequently grabbed items! This design reduces cold air waste by nearly half. How cool is that!
10yrs ago, I just wanted something to keep my food cold.
I am getting this bad boy. Yes sir!

Retail $4k

Home Depot (and many retailers) are offering Black Friday pricing now! $2,700 for this particular model.

Great 'fridge! I bought a similar LG a year and a half ago and love it! My model only has a single drawer but otherwise similar...

You know you're getting old when you're excited about a fridge.

I like the models with buttons on the handles. I was just looking at those same ones last week at Home Depot haha

Don't let my wife anywhere near it. She ruined our brand new fridge in 13 minutes.

If you're in the market, I found this article helpful:

Don't buy the Samsung.

My in laws just got a Samsung fridge and has had two repairs in the 13 months they have had it.

The second repair was out of warranty and the repair guy was bashing Samsung and was telling them the latest Samsungs are keeping him busy.

I just got a new Dell desktop (first time I didn't build it myself) and it runs like a spaceship - I'm never going to do anything again myself just buy the latest gadget. Now I understand why the US is a superpower.

Here's another recent item that has changed my life LOL. LOVING this thing right here:

I can't even believe how I've made it as a home owner without this bad boy!!! It removes leaves wet or dry, debris and even blow dries my cars effortlessly!
Run do not walk to your nearest Home Depot and grab one.

That's quite the refrigerator. I don't think we've ever spent more than $600 or $700 on a refrigerator (well, $600 or $700 15 years ago which was the last time we bought one). I think comparable ones would be more like $800 or $900 now with inflation-adjusted prices.

The one you listed is by far the most expensive refrigerator on that website, but now I'm wondering how high they can actually run.

Looks like there are a bunch by Thermador that run upwards of $10,000 which is a little mind boggling to me.

Dyson or Miele? I'm weighing both options. Opinions?
