Polo Preference

I was curious to what brands members preferred when it came to purchasing Polo collar shirts. I have mostly Ralph Lauren and am quite satisfied with the quality and feel of the material. I was looking to buy more so I wanted to know member's opinions on other brands. I tried a Lacoste but just did not like it as much as the RL.

I have a lot of golf polo's that I get from Carl's Golf Land. I don't really have a brand preference, but I do enjoy the material that doesn't wrinkle easily, because I am lazy and I hate laundry and I hate wrinkles.

Well, I find that the best breathing shirts when I'm atop my horse is normally from Brooks Brothers. I find it tends to give me the flexibility when I need to extend lower than normal with the mallet to hit the little white ball into the opposing teams goal.

Plus, since Ralph Lauren started at Brooks Brothers, I figure its automatically as good as any Ralph Lauren shirt.

I like both Polo Ralph Lauren and Ralph Lauren Purple Label. Loro Piana makes good polos as well. But, one of my favorites is from a brand called Alternative Apparel...it's just so light and comfortable. I highly recommend trying those

Well I have old navy polos as well but I can definitely tell the quality difference between old navy and say a RL or a Burberry. I'm not trying to sound like a brand whore, but I will pay good money for a quality product.

If I was on vacation and all my luggage burned in a fire and there was only an Old Navy near the resort and nothing else then I'd shop there

People look at Ralph Lauren Polo logo color to choose which POLO they will wear. I just feel the material before I buy it. Price is another huge factor.

If you tuck, Polo. No tuck, Burberry and JCrew are nice. I like Polo a lot but I also never tuck, so the long back is the one thing I don't like.

Also a good cheaper option that I think is pretty nice is US Polo Assn. They have some pretty nice/unique colors.

Agreed on RL and tucking. Where do you guys usually purchase your RL's from?

I am so overweight that I have to untuck my shirt.

I gained about 50lbs after having an severe RA for 18mo. Right now, I am doing all I can to lose all the weight. My main reason for losing weight isn't to look good. I am losing weight so that I don't need to buy extra clothes of extra-large (or extra extra extra extra extra Large).

I've been buying a lot of polos lately. they're tough to find for me since i am tall/thin and I so far like Express the best. I got them for ~$20 on sale, great quality and styles/fits. Also Perry Ellis has some nice ones; they feel more like a golf shirt and are really light. I'm going to have to buy some Lacoste soon, those look really nice

I've had bad experiences with express polos, they always shrunk on me despite following washing instructions.
