318d m sport lci hunting on idle
Right guy's my car has started to hunt on idle . This doesn't happen all the time only sometime's . The wife can drive it back from her wrok 20 mile away and it's fine . I can then go and get in it and it will start the rev's bounce up and down . You can give to throttle a bit of a rev to around 3k let it off and it will sit and idle fine . It still drive's as it did , there is also no fault shown on the dash . Car's only got 33k on it its a 59 plate .
Has anyone experienced this before ? Thank's Billy |

Glow plug control unit would be most likely although 1 or more glow plugs could have gone as well.
INPA codes don't really pin it down. I changed my control unit in my 330d LCI with a second hand one from eBay and the fault codes in INPA changed but the issue persists. I'm now going to change all 6 glow plugs and the control unit together. |

I'll video it the next time it happen's. It's more dodgy sensor that it won't happen regular. In the 3 or 4 time's I have used the car today , even with the start/stop on it has never done it.
