RB N55 Stage 2 Hybrid Turbo Upgrade Tester needed>>>

Hello all,

We finally have gotten to the point where we are going to be shortly in need of a candidate to test out our new RB N55 Stage 2 Hybrid Turbo solution.

Here is what we are looking for:

1) Full Bolt On car (including upgraded LPFP, JB4 and cobb w/backend flash). Willing to tune aggressively to show turbo potential despite the JB4 not currently supporting all 6 cylinder timing monitoring.
2) Proximity definitely in the USA and in Warmer climates where the winter months can't hold you back. Ideally is close to Terry@BMS.
3) Preferably non DCT car. If DCT must be 2011-2012 (ie. flash-able). If MT prefer it has a solid clutch installed, or at least a very healthy OEM unit, or one that can be replaced quickly at the expense of tester if it decides to start slipping during testing.
4) Willing to cover labor expenses to beta test product.
5) Able and willing to install quickly and to push the envelope.
6) Able to dyno tune immediately. Prior dyno sessions for deltas a large plus.
7) Prior drag racing results (ideally great numbers already), to show fair and accurate deltas achievable for the products addition alone.
8) Car that is healthy and currently running well, ie. no gremlins.
9) No XI/AWD cars.
10) No International testers.

The trade off for being the right candidate is for our free RB Stage 2 N55 turbo/RB N55 Inlet/Forge Diverter valve (~$2500 value). This is a full upgrade including an entirely new CHRA/billet compressor/Thrust Upgrade/Much Larger Turbine/etc. A refundable core charge will apply.

The concept here is to get the turbo on and not have any roadblocks for testing. If some present themselves having a tester willing and able to resurrect the problem swiftly and quickly is a must. Showing real world results outside the dyno holds very high with us, but before/after deltas from the same dyno also are great data points. If you feel you are a good candidate based on the above (meeting all of the criteria), please post up here. If you do not meet all of the criteria please just follow along with the project as we really are looking for all of the above to be met with no exceptions at this point.

Thanks,
Rob

If I was in the vicinity having a car with those specs. I WOULD BE ALL IN!
Nice prospects.

If no one fits your standards after a while of looking why not just give the turbo to Terry? He has 2 N55 cars for testing and this insures that the turbo will definitely be pushed to its limit.
I actually fit all those criteria minus the living near Terry part lol and I'm on a FX350 clutch.

Please shoot us an email at rob.rbturbo@gmail.com with your entire mod list and also what data you may have with up to date dynos and/or dragstrip results. The location in itself is actually one of the criteria that an exception can be made (pending on the others), as long as the cold/winter weather does not impact the ability to get some results if even only dyno results. In the email also copy and paste the above list and address each point as applicable to yourself. You very well could be the candidate we have been looking for.

As for Terry we agree that would be the absolute preference, but he already has one of his N55 upgraded to Stage 2 and the other is on a lease soon to be returned… which ruled him out as a possibility.

Thanks,
Rob

Good luck Rob, someone should jump all over this...just a matter of time

I'd jump on it but i'm DCT stuck without ability to flash so I'm not the best candidate ATM

We need to be very selective about this ordeal. All outlined per above. If you meet all of the criterion that would be great. Let us know if that is the case.

We have one locked in we do believe and the plan is to be shipping this unit to them shortly. They met almost every prerequisite aside location (which was the least important one as long at its domestic).

I actually live 20 minutes from Terry and have a FBO 135i with Meth, Fuel Pump Upgrade DCT with Backend flash. I have a Pure Stage 1 right now, I meet all your requirements and have no problem testing. I even have a 3.5 bar sensor and just got new plugs, injectors, and vanos recall.

Forge sent us the wrong diverter valve, it has been cleared and new ones paid for now awaiting their arrival. Anticipate that to be sometime this week, but with the holidays who knows. A tester has been 99.9% locked in at this time.

Hi Rob,

Do you have the part number since there is nothing shown on forge website.
