I agree with the other guy in the thread. Why are people flamming him when he's speaking the truth? Trucks are a fad most people don't use them to their full potential. People buy them because they feel safer, bling factor etc.Unless you're a farmer, construction guy or uses that car to work they were meant to be support vehicle. Went I went to the car show last year there was a 67K+tax F150 Limited......

Back in the days when I was a kid most parents used to drive their kids in either a Tempo,Citation,Escort,Chevette,Aries,Omni nothing huge. Now people uses the ohh I have a kid excuse and I need something huge to carry a stroller and crap...I call BS . When I was a kid my dad had a Tercel and then a upgraded to a Corolla. The US in not like any other part of the world: cheap gas+ cars are cheap + low taxation. I agree most trucks are useless.

I was looking to buy a truck for track days and carry stuff around the house. I came to the conclusion that it was useless and was a waste of gas : I'll either keep on renting or buying a 5K truck(or Cargo van) slap it in the driveway and use it once in a while. 99% of the time I'm by myself in my cars. I'll have a 5er touring over an x5 anyday of the week. I'm no tree hugger but at 6$ a gallon over here........Sure I find the 1500 Ram sport gorgeous, F150 looks great, Tundra's with black wheels looks dopes so does a jacked up Silverado but I'll pass.

It's a free world, free country people can get trucks if they want, some people can say that buying trucks makes no sense.

This hate for trucks is more along the lines of a BMW community which is why I never posted mine. I'll be posting my gas guzzling behemoths when I get to my computer. Can't wait, lol

Some people don't have to say anything at all.

Just because a truck doesn't have cargo in it doesn't mean that it never gets used. Maybe............forget it.

The guy doesnt hate. Most people missed the point. I got it and I agree with it.... I'm pretty sure that you own 3 cars....truck(hauler)+///M(By the avatar doing solo)+something else if you're a family man. Why do you hesitate to post some pics of your truck....if you read the last part of my post that I have a soft spot for them but I'm a cheap bastard and rather throw money on cars then trucks.

Holy Crap! That's a scary good assumption off of my avatar...currently have a 328i lci, z4m, G500, and a dodge 3500 RAM VAN, lol soon to be replaced by a truck again once again a eerily good assumption!

here's some of my past love for trucks. I never got into HD trucks b/c I didn't need it, but if I did, it would have a 5.9 cummins

As for my trucks, I like them fairly basic, because I see them as a tool for getting things done. And as much as I respect the Raptor I think an Ecoboost with some mods would be a better buy....especially now that they're discounting the CC f150 xlt, fx4 down to 30k from 40k

here's some of my trucks/suvs from the past 5yrs

Nice trucks. I'm a Nissan guy but geeez the Titan resale value is brutal. Your Tundra fits one of my earlier posts (Love Tundra on black rims)

I have a 2010 Chevy Silverado Crew Cab and I love it. Honestly, I don't know how we ever lived without it. It plows through the 3 ft drifts of snow in the winter. I am finishing my basement so have used it many times for construction materials. Its also great for hauling home trees/plants. And I also like the feel of sitting up high sometimes. I am even considering a lift kit and huge wheels. Wont that be fun.

We are taking delivery of our new 1M in October and was going to use it as trade in but I cant part with it. It will be my winter driver.

To those of you crying about gas mileage, you do realize that these full size trucks get better gas mileage than all the M cars and BMW SUVs right?

To those of you that are so concerned about our trucks, why dont you trade in your 135s and 335s for a prius to offset the damage we are doing?

And to the clown that says he hates America because of pickup trucks...get a life, better yet, move the fuck out!

Not to nitpick, but my BMW SUV gets significantly better gas mileage than my F150 and the neighbours diesel F350.

The rest I pretty much agree with. Lots of self-righteous asses in this thread that seem to think they should decide what everyone else drives.

It's not about fuel-efficiency or pollution. I'd rather piss away the gasoline in a Lambo and enjoy being a dick to the environment than drive a truck. I don't "hate" trucks. And of course... The whole sissy thing comes into play. Of course, the truck drivers are manly as shit! You truck drivers are just a beacon of right in my sea of wrong. Of course.

I thought it would be fitting to post the pics of my new truck that I took delivery of two days ago. Is a GMC Sierra SLT Crew Z71. This car is replacing my M3 and gets BETTER gas mileage. Also, my primary vehicle. It will be used for moving things around between my familys businesses. But mostly will be my toy.

For reference, the only kind of car Ive ever owned has been a bmw 3 series. e30 in high school, an e46, then two e9x. So excited to drive an AMERICAN CAR finally. The build quality of this vehicle is amazing. Granted its a $50k list price truck.

Psycho, you sound like a typical California commie. Ill drive what I want, when I want. Thats why we call this here country America.

Man I'm loving it. Unbelievable how far Dodge has come. My 06 sucked compared to this one. The interior is light years better. I have cooled seats (My God what a must here), the stereo is really cool (the alpine isn't quite as good as the HK but close), the seats are comfortable as hell, the backseat is huge, the steering wheel is nice leather wrapped, the dash is beautiful and the motor....well....that speaks for itself. 390 HP beast that is music to my ears and still gets 22 mpg highway. All I need is headers/intake and new exhaust and I'm set...

Oh and BTW, it will used for long trips (we take a lot), hauling shit...and whatever. And I still have the bimmer....haven't decided if I'm gonna sell it. I had to drive 220 miles to get this one...that had everything I wanted. I wanted a black one...but once I got there and looked at silver...I just can't take the stress of trying to keep THREE black cars clean....

I would say these posts pretty much sum it up. I guess the point that psycho does not get is that it is none of his business what people choose to buy for a vehicle. Free country my friend. Hopefully people like you will not ever be able to change that.
