If were talking straight line, the g35 will take the 328.
Now if you add some turns, sure the 328 WILL hang on a lot closer, but the sheer power of the g35 will allow it to pull away on exits of the turn. |

Apparently Car&Driver would pick the 328i over the G35 also:

lol, badges aren't everything. ^
The 328i wins in an all out test w/ its comination of comfort AND handling. The G35 takes the cake in power and cornering, but it's not "refined" enough. Then again, to be honest I've only heard that the G35's are unrefined...never experienced a ride in one. I've driven the brand new 350Z's (just got a slight facelift and power increase) extensively...'bout 120 miles...does that compare at all? 'Cuz that thing was crazy loud, and harsh in the bumps. Then again, after those 100+ miles, the unrefined feeling began to grow on me. Huh... |

Until you start getting into and out of the bends... then you realize that extra 70hp amounts to nothing.

The new G37 coupe with 330 hp will be compared with the 335.

Just looked at a review at http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do...ticleId=120061 - seems they are torn between the G37 and 335, though at the end they admit the G37 probably can't match the 335's speed 0-60 and 1/4 mi.
Coming late in the game and it still hasn't got what it takes. |

Well I have a G35 and my 335 and the G35 is unrefined and rough around the edges, cheap aluminium plastics & some weird angles but it's a nice car to have as a beater. Very loud & "rattly" over 60 miles an hour, maybe I should just go to the dealer and complain about that.

I just noticed this quote in the edmunds G37 vs 335i discussion forum section:
"Germany's best can't hold a candle to the Japanese. German cars are so overrated. They've been getting by for years with the false values of "heritage" and "prestige". As PT Barnum said: "There's a sucker born every minute." uhhh....not the brightest, huh? IMO, Japanese cars are the overrated ones..selling themselves on superior reliabilty, which is a thing of the past for them..especially Nissan. I think the latest crop of Fords have been more reliable than the latest Nissans..I hate idiots..

i said it was in the discussion forum, not the article..
scroll to the bottom of the article where it says "your take" or something..click the link..then click "all comments"..go to page 1...and it's maybe the 5th comment down. There is some other BMW bashing in various responses too, enjoy. these are all just amateur responses..has nothing to do with edmunds..i just thought it was funny

i dont care how much horsepower the infiniti has, i've test driven the new infiniti g35 sedan and i own a e92 328, and the g35 is so loud and coarse to drive around, it uses cheap plastics, the shifts from the auto is slow compared to my 328's steptronic, yes, the g35 has a lot of grunt, but for a more complete package and blend of luxury, handling, power, BMW hands down for me
