LOL at this thread. The problem with US toilets is that the drain hole is so small so I found that it was constantly clogging. In Australia the toilets have much bigger drain holes so only a single flush for both turds and paper is required.

We were supposed to dig a new trench and attach the house to sewer lines this weekend, but found someone to do it for $2500 instead of the original $10,000. But still there were dirty sheets in the trash when everyone left from fireworks Sunday night ;(

Well... I thought flush was the norm... But I guess we learn smth new everyday. I had this Indian fd in college. Seeing that she only uses her right hand to eat, I jokingly asked whether that's because she uses her left hand to wipe. She got all defensive and said that using her hand and water is way cleaner than using toilet paper. After that, I never let her touch me... Lol.

I don't blame ur gf for having issues with u tossing it in the trash. In fact, I'm shocked that u actually still have a gf. What u do with ur shit covered toilet paper is ur business, but I ain't going anywhere near a bathroom you've been in.

On a more positive note, have you ever considered flushing between wipes? I doubt that u can clog the toilet with a single wipe.

What kind of person throws soiled toilet paper and tampons directly into the bin?

Above two posters do not look at the dates of the thread apparently.

Edit - ok, now four posters do not pay attention. I expected that from Media Artist who is all too eager to share his opinion, but you other three....sigh.

Some parts of some South American countries have really weak plumbing systems so you can't flush paper. You have to throw it away, they wipe with scented wipes instead that help cover the smell.

Culture shock of my Peru travels to be sure.

while we're on this issue. Do any of you wipe with only wet wipes? I heard Howard Stern talking about it on his show a while back but that idea alone is too rich for my blood lol. I was also wondering how well it would actually flush. I'm afraid that if I go down that route, I may never be able to go back.

I wipe with toilet paper first.

then baby wipes.

then toilet paper to get rid of that "cold wet" feeling....

Now, as an alternative if you don't want to fork over the cash to wet wipe, you can cut your wet wipes into 4's, and then incorporate a square with each set of dry, that way it is wet against your bum hole, and not wasting an entire sheet.

I personally throw mine in the waste bin. Why would you flush paper down the drain? Is nobody else thinking about the fish, they could choke and die on your fecal matter. No bueno.
