You have to play a little longer to realize it's addicting.. I played this game because a lot of my friends got into it. It's boring as hell in the beginning because you can't do shit.. you're weak. But once you reach around lvl 30, you're hooked. I'll be honest. I played until lvl 57 and thanks to a huge turning point in my life, I quit. When you're lvl 60 and over.. say goodbye to your social life. Three of my friends broke up with their gf and I fought so much with my girl as well during my "addiction". I do not recommend anyone playing this game.

Yes. It's all about NOT getting into the point where you think "Oh shit, this game is pretty good!" Then kiss your REAL-TIME life good-bye. Some of the WOW players might not agree with me, but seriously, each and every one of them (unless one has originally no life in the first place) must've had any big conflict/clash between another individual that you know(family, work, relationships) because of this game. One of my friend says this shit is almost addicting as gambling.

I play WoW

I'm in a raiding guild. We rank 20th on our server (fluctuate, but around there mostly).
I'm not some noob to the guild either. I'm a raider, level 80 in Tier gear. (doesn't get better than that!)

My social life doesn't suffer. I have a gf, a job, and a lot of friends.
We raid 4 times a week.
I see my friends regularly and my gf like 4 times a week.

usually I turn it on after I go home. Which usually coincides for raid time. I've never ever ditched real life plans for WoW unless the plans sounded boring. Instead of staying home trippin' balls, I log on. It's great for those days when u got nothing to do.
It's a hobby. I'm also in shape, not the best but it works out.

it isn't the game's problem if you can't manage your time properly.

I've gotten into fights with my gf over this. yes it's true. But then again she also got up in my grill over spending time racing at the track.
the same way people break up over spending too much time in the garage, is the same way people break up over this game. It becomes a hobby.
