Hundred Dollar Haircut!!!

So I had a wedding to go to on Saturday night. I haven't had a haircut in several weeks and it's time to change my appearance a little bit(my wedding is in 5 months). So my mother-in-law(future) makes me an appointment at the salon she goes to in Manhattan. So I get the haircut and it's "not bad". Then I go to pay...

It's $93!!!!
Plus tip, so it wound up, with tip, to be $113.

THATS INSANE!!! INSANE!!! AND MY MOTHER-IN-LAW HAS SUCH A WARPED SENSE OF REALITY THAT SHE THOUGHT THIS WAS "FINE". SHE'S LIKE "THAT'S WHAT A GOOD HAIRCUT COSTS".

She's out of her mind!!!

And on top of that, during the haircut, somebody who works at the salon comes up and asks if I want a cold drink...I say "Sure, I’ll have a diet coke". So they bring me a can of diet coke...

AND THEN HAVE AUDACTIY TO CHARGE ME $1.50 FOR IT PLUS TIP!!! HOW COULD MY MOTHER IN LAW POSSIBLY THINK THIS IS OK?

SHOULD SHE BE COMMITTITED OR AM I THE ONE WHO IS "CRAZY"???

Sorry to vent!!!

I'm at the point with her that all she has to do is say "Black" and before the words come out of her unrealistic, clueless, snobby mouth...

...I'm already saying "white"

how long did it take? i have paid a total of zero dollars for allllll of my haircuts combined over the last 6 years. so i cant really judge if its a lot or not, but i know every girl i know goes to the salon and spends like 200-300-500 bucks or more. soo i guesssss, its not too bad.

That's a good question Bad-Bod...

She just happened to be around when I mentioed I needed to haircut. I usually go to a barber $11, plus tip and it comes out just as well.

Now..i'm not a cheap person...far from it(I pat $350 for a parking *******, but $100 for a hiarcut is plain crazy...

Gave up on going to barber's. They're too expensive now, and its inconvenient, and I hate waiting.. I cut my own hair... Have my gf fix up the back, around the ears. $20 x 15 haircuts/year = $300/year on haircuts. In 10 years that $3000, not including inflation.. Thats a set of BBS wheels I want!! :rocks:

Yeah I would have had her (mother in law) pay for it.. That's absurd I bet you could get a $20 haircut it would look the same.. $1.50 and tip for a can of coke? I'd go buy one for $.65 at the corner store and give it to them..

Man $113... You get the happy ending at least for that price??

Ha ha ha...I pay $0.00 for my haircuts! I've got a norelco beard and moustache shaver and I use that on my head, at setting 7 all around.

Believe it or not it gives a perfect ceasar hairstyle in less than 2 minutes. And I usually cut my own hair right before I shower, so I'm not even itchy afterward.

Sorry 'bout the gluck75. Don't have to deal with mother-in-law drama anymore.

But serious... you're probably a good guy and all but please NO PICS!

I think 100 bucks for a haircut should include full release
