Anyone have experience with Dell LCD TV's

I'm looking at getting a new Dell desktop and was looking at the LCD tv's to use as my monitor. The PC will have a TV tuner so I think it might be cool to be able to use it as a PC monitor and a TV at the same time. I just dont know if the Dell branded LCD's are worth the 699. This will not be used as a primary TV at all, just a monitor and a TV. Any input is appreciated. Thanks all!

Dell 23" LCD

I have a Dell 42" HDTV....and I love it. No problems at all. Although, I have not used the LCD's, I would feel safe going with them. Seems like the price is right too.

I have a 27" Dell LCD. The feature set is very good for the price. The speakers are very good for TV speakers. The screen is great for bright and colourful scenes, but the contrast is not very good when the scenes are dark.

Over all, it's OK, but I would spend just a bit more money and get a Samsung or LG. Yes, Dell LCD TVs are made by Philips / LG, but is probably their low end product line.

oh yeah...I forgot about the speakers that came with the HDTV plasma..they were not very good at all. I took them off on day one and hooked up my surround sound system...its the only way.

The unit itself is great. I guess it all depends on your budget...and consider the above post's advice.

For the price, they are great. Make sure you have a HD signal
