The North Koreans are using bitcoin to finance nuclear weapons. They are mining the bitcoin and using ransomware attacks to get more bitcoin and also selling weapons to enemies of the US such as Venezuela.

I'm just commenting on why the sanctions have never worked even though every president since Nixon swears by them that they will work. North Korea trades on the black market so restricting legitimate trade does nothing.
