Main water pipe at my house is busted. . .

Why? I dont know, but the water has been off all day and will probably be off for another 1-2 days while they try and fix this issue.

It SUCKS MASSIVE DONKEY BALLS not be able to use anything related to water in your home haha. Imagine, no shower, no toilets, no washing your hands, no doing dishes. . . nothing that has to do with water! It's not fun haha.

My toilets dont work, so I cant shit. Ever had to take a piss on the side of your own home hah?

I'm trying to find a friend's place to sleep at tonight so I can just shower and get ready for class there tomorrow. But in the mean time, this shit is silly hah. It's good too though, makes you appreciate water and how easy it is (was) to come by in a home these days

That happened to our house once...well I don't think a pipe broke...but we couldn't use the water for like a day or two. It's funny how much more important you realize it is when you can't use it haha

yea, there was water pouring out of the ground where our grass meets the driveway. They've already dug up a portion of the lawn, and jack hammered through a 2' by 4 foot portion of the driveway.

Strange part is that my home is only a few years old, so the guys working on the problem were saying something about the original plumbers who did the ground work were idiots. I dont remember why, but whatever it was, it's the reason this thing failed.

Maybe its a track home thing, but for what it's worth. . . its 4,800 sq. ft, 4 bedroom, 5 bathroom (at the end of a cul-de-sac, within a gated community, with panoramic views. . . and blah blah) and 3 years ago was worth the upper 2 million range, dont know what it's worth today. It seems like you have a higher end house. I'm not a plumber but I have heard other people having this problem and they all ended fixing the problem and moving out altogether.

Every toilet still has water in the tank. You can take one dump per toilet. (Maybe two if it's a large tank/short flush) That should last you until they get the water back on.

One of my good friends father owns a plumbing company, during high school he would pay us to work for him.. Out here in AZ the pipes they put in the ground get eaten up by the soil and burst.. Most of them are under the slab, so we got paid to come in and tear up tie/carpet/wood/ then cut the slab and dig to the pipe. In some cases it was possible to do a bypass but not always. Most of the time it would happen in the kitchen since its usually the close spot to the hot water heater.

Yeah... This sucks big time. This happened to my family on Dec 23 last year. Lasted til the next day, afternoon. Christmas Eve and no water for most of the day. I also had a house full of family and extended family staying over. Had to run a hose from the front yard into the house LOL...
