I made the mistake of getting an iPhone today. A buddy at work has been trying to get me to get one for a year. So, I pulled the trigger and I'm in hell. I'm trying to keep an open mind about it. The browser is awsome, no doubt. Everything else is very nice looking, too. I just cannot handle the touch screen typing. I need feedback. I need my track ball. Plan is to take it back this weekend - I'm making myself use it till Saturday - and wait on the Bold.

Rumor is, Sept 12. We'll see. That would be a Friday which is an odd release day. Of course, Boy Genius says Oct 2. ATT is supposed to drop the 8320 this month, as well. So many phones from BB this year...

No word. Verizon is generally at least 4-6 months behind the GSM carriers. They are also getting the touch screen before everyone. I doubt they will get it any time soon.

Not sure about Thunder...

Bold was released in Canada last week, should be released in the USA shortly...

I just spoke to a Verizon rep and he said they have not heard anything of gettint the Blackberry Bold. He said even if they do it wouldnt be until next year.

They will be getting the Thunder though.

Verizon has a unique contract with RIM to get the Thunder first. So Thunder is coming out soon, Bold is whenever Verizon finishes doing what it does best...delaying things and being a horrible carrier.

I actually have Verizon, but if it weren't for its good signal in my area, I'd be on ATT in a heartbeat.

I'm a Apple fanboy too, but I just dont see the I-phone being a practical phone.. actually, thats exactly what it is, a phone.. I want the blackberry because its more made as a personal planner etc etc... I love my MBP, but I never really found the urge to buy an I-phone..

bold for verizon is supposedly coming jan 2009....i had the lg voyager (now for sale) and now i have the dare - the UI for the dare is actually pretty good, but I can't stand the little horizontal touch keyboard...I'll never get an all-touch screen phone again.

If the next version of the iphone came with a slide-out qwerty keyboard, i'd be all over it.
