Looks good to me. I prefer the simple, classic designs, and so does my wife. IMO, you've done a very good job picking it out.

It doesn't matter how much money you put into the ring/rock. I personally can/will only spend $10k max. I know friends that have dropped $18-25k and others had $5-7k. It's not a race, so do whatever you feel like.

and james allen is a respectable vendor on the web, although i was never too comfortable buying my fiance's ring off the internet. i ended up going to an internet seller that had an office in the diamond district. he had internet low prices and i liked dealing with a person face to face.
good advice, I might do that also

right now this is the ideal ring

i just want some feedbacks.

where did you get yours from?
Tiffany's, but the brand doesn't matter. I've gotten a couple rings for her; well now she's an ex, but Shane company and Tiffany were 2 great places...its more about how the ring looks than the brand, but I shopped around and those places had the best looks in my opinion

Oh wow I just realize that you can get a discount by being a Pricescope member and an additional 1.5% off by paying by bank wire at James Allen
plus they have a very good upgrade policy which I will not need

Has anyone dealt with James Allen jeweler before?

The setting alone is $1700 (Platium solitaire), the rock is $7800
Nice looking setting and specs look nice on the ring. That color and clarity should make the rock really sparkle. The ring I bought my wife is very similar (simple platinum solitaire setting). I bought it (wow, about 9 years ago) from Charleston J. Alexander, a local store that advertises itself as a wholesaler. Their prices were much better than at anywhere else I looked, other than Mervis Diamond, which had pretty competitive prices.

Here is a link to Charleston J. Alexander: https://www.wherethediamondsare.com/

I bought diamond studs for her from there, too, and was very happy overall.

Wow.. have diamond prices risen that much?

I bought my wife a 1.00 carat, VS1, H, Pol:Exc, Sym:Good, Depth:Exc.VG, Table:Exc.VG in a platinum band, GIA certified, and it cost $3700.

Doing it again, CZ FTW. A wife and her ring are depreciating assets.

Yea, I been shopping around and did find a rock for a better price.
It's a little downgraded from the one I posted, but it is just as stunning.
GIA
1.01 round brilliant
6.42 6.44 x 3.98mm
Color H
VS2
Cut - excellent
Polish - excellent
Symmetry - very good
Fluoresence - strong blue (this is why is cheaper, but I love the blue effect)
and great proportions (see pic)
