would you use a generic car charger?

I bought a screen protector for my bold off ebay and it also came with a car charger.

The auction with the charger was like $2 more so I said what the hell.

So would any of you use the charger? Would it be bad for the phone or even worse somehow be bad for the plug in the car?

Nah...if it's a low-end charger, the fuse inside it will eventually blow and that's that.

i think it should be fine, third party chargers have always worked fine for me. however, if the materials look cheap, then i would think twice

I've used one for my D900 for over a year... Never blew out a fuse or anything, the chances of that are quite slim... However, I think it might have fucked up the battery life.

battery life on the bold is shitty compared to the curve i was using before...hence the reason why i opted for the charger + screen protector option

hopefully my battery doesnt get any worse

ahhhh, I envy you! I want the bold too but since its not coming out for Verizon anytime soon I'm just going to go with the Storm (9530).. Hopefully the battery life on that isnt like your bold... I wouldn't even be able to charge it because I don't have my car while I'm in school
