I'm coding a 11/09 E90 LCI with Bluetooth with Assist and CIC Professional.

I have managed to do all physical parts such as all the wiring from the original TCU and MULF using a custom made harness, have the USB to the armrest etc.

I have my car updated to Software V42 which should mean I will not nead the FSC code, but I heard some where id you are programming with Daten version newer than V43 then it may enable the FSC codes, is this true?

I can use NCS Expert to code the modules (CIC and Combox), just need to know what I need to do.

i got my system fully working but one thing annoys me. When i was playing a song on my iphone it used to sit at the list of songs, now it defaults to the album cover and i have to click to go to the playlist list or current list of songs playing.


anyone know what needs to be coded to have it default to the list of songs? On the dual screen option, it still shows the album cover on the right side (under entertainment). I just hate staring at two album covers, one on left and one on right side of the screen--make sense? I want to disable one, but not the other. I know it is possible. it worked that way before i recoded the system to default to fix some other issues. now they are fixed but this is the result.

i have a question.
i've got a 335d 2011. It has 6VC (got the combox in the trunk) , but i got no audio streaming. What am i supposed to do? I have the bluetooth antenna output, but without any antenna plugged in.
I have the navi professional and H&K.

The antenna itself is pretty simple to install, but what do i need to activate the bluetooth streaming? I got NCS expert and i compatible cable.

I did my CIC and Combox media retrofit done could never get the bluetooth part on the combox to work it just sits at connecting but shows connected on my phone. The usb/Aux is working from the retrofit from MULF2 to Combox and i see it's coded properly (at least i think so) It's been about 8 months since the retrofit and kinda gave up since i feel like its a software version on the cic is old.

C08 is what is shows any ideas?

I would find someone with an ICOM and update your CIC to latest firmware (C1A).

yeah that's what i figured. only one person where I'm at has one but don't want to install the 3rd party software.

You need to do a reset on the combox and cic using NCS expert.

I had exactly this problem and solved by doing a reset.

I believe I did the SG_reset on the MEDIA and CIC, I may go try it again.

My cic version doesn't have "Connected drive" its a 2009 version

Update
I SG reset media and CIC, it sees my phone, it ask me to enter a password on the CIC and iPhone, IPhone shows connected but CIC just gets stuck on Pairing completed.Connecting...

Thats not how to do default setting, you need to do SG_CODIEREN.

Poking around I found a few people who have Combox working with C08. Have you updated the media software? Put your donor car vin in the page below.

yeah before i did default using a blank man file for SG_codieren when i installed the combox media. let me go check out this other post and i will report back later.

Edit: Although i said i did that 6 months ago when i did the Media retrofit, I may try it again but save my current man files for the CIC due to the fact i said the same thing when i was having outer tail light issues and found out it was a coding issue just a few days ago even though i did the blank man file the last time lol

Edit again. I really starting to think I never did a blank man file on the combox it self.. this could be the problem the whole time. Pretty stoked to try it when I get home tonight I will do the cic and combox. I did set my VO with the new combox but what are the codes for NA just in case?

I will pull from the MEDIA combox Donor vin when i get home today and check.

MULF2 worked with C08 but people kept saying combox wouldn't work on C08 other than USB/AUX. bluetooth connects (showing connected on my phone) but will get stuck at connecting on the idrive screen and they were saying it was because combox wasn't in the 2009 and was the old MULF2 till 2011 if i remember correctly.

I'm talking to someone about updating the CIC to CA1 very soon which will probably solve all my problems.. I may go ahead and install the original 2RAD to get my software from Progman to ISTA then update the cic to the latest I level including the media.
