Paddles are the wave of the future. It'll get more and more difficult to find traditional clutch/shifter manual trannies. No need for that in an SUV anyway.

The interior looks nice. I'm waffling back and forth between a newer X5 or a Merc sedan. I like the high vantage point and the space of an SUV, but comfort is becoming more and more desirable as I get older.

Tough shoot there. It was a department alumni picnic that I was asked to shoot. Bright, drizzly day and we were under a pavilion roof where it was quite a bit darker. No walls, so every shot was brightly backlit. No fun trying to get a balance. I opted for about +1 EV and just cropped out as much background as I could on each shot. So far, so good.
Yeah, that's either plus-EV or fill flash kind of situation. I usually go for the plus-EV, like you did here.

Only had a couple of seconds to grab this one. 6D, 70-300L, Kenko 1.4x TC, AF handheld. Not as sharp as I'd like as I forgot to reset after yesterday and ended up shooting this at 1/30. FL was 420mm.

I don't think you could process anything with Carl and Lenny wondering where you have been and why they had to eat old, stale and day old kibble. I'll be looking forward to your review.

Cool shot regardless Mark. I had a fox show up in my backyard last year, but it was gone before I could grab my camera.

Kevin, those little monsters ate 4 days worth of kibble in 2! I came home to small piles of kitty vomit around the house, GRRRR. Probably their way of showing their displeasure. That and they wouldn't stop talking all night, hehe.

I went out and washed it today, and took it for a spin around Golden Gate National Rec area in Marin. More pictures to process, but I will get at least one done here after dinner.

After we got back from a two week trip we woke up to find blood all over our bedroom. Looked like Kittycide. Our two year old cut her toe web open and made a big mess...... and a vet bill.
So consider, yak an easy fix.

Speaking of kitties...We went to the Santa Barbara Zoo the afternoon that I bought the car. This looks a bit odd as it was shot through green tinted glass, I did the best I could. After spending a couple of days down there, I am ready to move! I had a great time.

Thanks.

It's easy when they're accustomed to people walking right up to them. I had to back away to get this close up in focus.

The front end of the train I took to Santa Barbara. I was on the second to last coach, and shot this through my pretty dirty window. This is on the Cuesta grade dropping into San Luis Obispo, California...BTW, there are pics of my new ride in the X1 thread, I don't want to clog up this one with my car pics, as I plan a big post of them later in the week when I get caught up.

I shot it through the tinted window of the train car, so it threw the white balance off, but it did actually make kind of a neat effect. Here is another:

1000mm hand held at 1/400-sec. Look at the eye and feather detail.
