Epic way to ring in 2012 ;)

Right outside of downtown New Orleans, Louisiana.... I think it's safe to say we gave NOLA a run for their money last night

Grand total of over 16 thousand ($16,273.74) at wholesale price of explosives on one neighborhood street

Since July my neighbors and I have been stocking up on fireworks, drawing blue prints, and timing out every single explosive. We definitely went out with a BANG

The blue prints

This is just what was in my house (that I couldnt fit in my outside shed)

At roughly 10:30 we shut down our pre show and started working meticulously around the clock to get everything set up. Every single one of my neighbors pitched in.

At 11:50 the fuse was lit.....

Starting out slow and with little baby explosives

These videos were shot once the fuse reached the center of the all the fireworks. It was one big wired mess of fun. It got so loud you couldnt hear anything.

Here's a link my neighbor sent me.
http://video.l3.fbcdn.net/cfs-l3-ash...00ab698da4f500

You can imagine what happened for the grand finale.

After it all ended. My street looked like a war zone.

Happy New Year 2012!!! Thanks for watching

Damn! Epic... I didn't get to do it this year like I did last, but mine went off with a bang in Macedonia... My terrace over looked the main city square of Skopje, and it ended up being a decent way to bring in the year...

It was pretty amazing. Im glad no one was injured. I've got headache from all the smoke I inhaled from the display but it was so worth it.

I love how you guys drew up schematics... we just kind of winged it last year with time fuses and wired fuses... our only prior planning consisted of drilled out ply wood to use as big stands for our set up.

We spent A LOT of money. It had to be perfect. What kept messing us up was everytime someone got something new we had to erase and re plan everything. After Thanksgiving if you purchased any more you'd have to shoot them off before or after our big show. It got to be so much. This single display lasted nearly 20 minutes.

I can honestly say I have the best neighbors and this really is the best street I have ever lived on.

Yea, I'm jealous. My neighbors are all old, like real old. My one neighbor my age always goes somewhere else, I think he was in Switzerland last year. It's good to have friends come over with fireworks, but it would be bad ass if my neighborhood would get together like that.

I am impressed! That was amazing, and 20 minutes is a LONG time. The 4th stuff my town does is just over 20 minutes! You have reached baller fireworks status! We can't buy that stuff here, and I had to do an internal investigation on a guy I work with who did. No fun and a complete buzzkill.

Happy new year!

I didnt even make it up stairs to my bed last night, I was sooo tired. I fell asleep on the couch. I woke up to the guys on my street with their blowers cleaning up everything at 9:30 this morning. I was going to help but they looked like they had it under control

Each house spent between 500-3,000. So it was a great team effort.
