Taking active sound to a new level... External sound generator on Audi TDI

Here you can buy, as an aftermarket sound generator, the sound generator from Audi's with the 313hp TDI engines. This actually creates a fake exhaust sound...

http://www.kufatec.de/shop/en/sound-...=einbauservice

Quote:
•This System is known from Audi, where they have built it from factory into all TDI engines with 313 hp
•The external sound generator "silmulates" a large-volume engine and drowned the most of the typical TDI noise.
•This sound you don't get with a sport exhaust system
•Level 1 - very decent sound for noise-sensitive areas
•The KUFATEC Sound Booster Pro upgrades the sound of the whole exhaust system into a unique sound
•A powerful V6 / V8 (depending in module setting)
•You can choose 6 profiles by using the supplied button - we suggest to install this button in the front

Scope of delivery
•Control unit for engine sound generation
•External Sound generator incl mounting plate
•Sound Booster Pro (module)
•Wiring set

Note
•At the moment tested on TDI and GTD engines. More engines variants on request
•Please keep in mind that in some countries it is forbidden by law to use this Sound Booster on street because of the high noise emission.
•On request the installation is available through our internal installation service

It's the future honestly. Eventually cars will make less and less noise. Which 1, will be unsafe as you won't even hear it coming. And 2, people will miss the noise of engines and exhaust notes.

I've got to say that is one thing about the Tesla that is really lacking. Maybe this will be the solution haha?

Definitely mixed feelings about this.. It's a pretty cool idea for something like a Tesla!
