Either get a Microsoft mouse with Bluetrack or whatever. Or get the Logitech anywhere mouse. Both are the same size as the one you posted and both can be used on any type of surface including glass. I have this one:

I have been using it without problems for quite a while now. Cheap as hell too.

i just got an apple trackpad as a gift. I hated the idea of having a trackpad on my desktop but the gestures make things so much easier. If you're on a mac give it a shot

this is what i use. a little on the small end, but great for traveling. only downside is the bluetooth. to save energy, when you have 5 seconds of inactivity, the BT shuts off and you need to move the mouse (takes half a second) before it turns on again. There's no way around this, so if you're competitive gaming or whatever, you need to play with it wired otherwise there will be a lag when it goes to sleep. for normal day use, it does not bother me and the battery lasts like 3 weeks.

I've been looking at getting a Razer Mamba for a long time. Alittle pricey, but I bet it's worth it.

I currently use a deathadder and love the shape. The Mamba is pretty similar.

I have the M505, M510 and the G500, love them all for what they are. The M505 is great for its small size to go with my netbook while still feeling very comfortable...i originally did try the M305 but i found it to be too small. The M510 is a great full sized wireless mouse, which i use all the time when not gaming. For gaming I got the G500 since the price was right...I love it, its very comfortable, has adjustable weights, the dpi on the fly works great and have not had a problem yet with the laser sensor.

I find the Logitech mice to be more comfortable, but that is mostly subjective since in terms of performance they are very similar.

I got this "ergonomic" keyboard mouse combo from staples. Been good so far. Battery life is great. the scroll wheel on the mouse is nice too, it's "infinite" ie doesn't "click" into positions.
