Next year is a leap year meaning the Bahrain GP starts on the last day of February on the 29th.
As far as launches go Ferrari have revealed a launch date for its '24 car only known as the 676 for now one day before Valentines Day on the 13th. Vasseur chose this day for some unknown reason, the car is expected to have virtually all new components (95% he says) and probably be at Fiorano.

RB and Merc are still to announce their launch dates though I expect both will be show cars not revealing race equipment such is the propensity of teams to copy something innovative from the others.
The usual pre season talk as in my article below is if can RB be caught but even the journo at the classic Motor Sport should take in that the 20 will be even quicker. than the 19.
Pre season testing is at Bahrain on February 21st.

The first lap had not yet been completed and MAX was already P1 !
MAX is the driver with the white helmet ...

Makes no difference if in slower or the fastest karts, the others just haven't got as much, it's not just the kart or car and when he gets past it's just a blur as he leaves the rest a mile behind.

For something different on this fan rest period in between the campaigns, I'll go back to the 1982 season which was one of the blackest times for Ferrari concerning G Villeneuve and Pironi and what preluded the 'betrayal' at Imola which Prost is sure led to Villeneuve's death in Zolder practice where he was separated from his car after making a wrong split second manoeuvre and then Pironi's leg breaking accident at Hockenheim.

Verstappen used Nelson Piquet’s personalised 1960s Volkswagen Kombi (470bhp) for that karting race. That's a very special kart.

I heard , the Nelson family jumped in the old Volkswagen Kombi to drive to the kart track
MAX won the race already after just one lap in a Brazilian run-down kart, starting last .
After lap 1 , MAX was P1 and the race was over... At least for the other drivers .

Nelson Piquet's oldtimer Volkswagen Kombi is actually a "Sleeper" with the massive power from a 5 cylinder AUDI Turbo engine under the hood .
Must be fun to drive with that thing !

Update !
The 2024 RB20 failed in the first crash test ....'
The nose of the car didn't absorbed the frontal impact enough .
The RB20 nose is a super-lightweight design and sorter than the RB19 .

Adrian Newey is busy at this moment . Too bad !
But , as he said : It won't be slow....

Sure . I think RB just tried it in the crash test with the super lightweight nose .
The next step is now reinforce the CF of the nose or placing reinforcements and go for the second crash test .

As we know that's extra weight . In F1 every additional gram really matters.
But I'm pretty sure , AN will fix that ..

This is right, even watches have to be removed by drivers including any jewellery and earrings by some for maintaining lightness as we all know.

Yeah . Jewellery, earrings and piercings have to be removed for the drivers safety in the event of a serious crash .
Ask LEW !

As far as I know , some drivers use an enema for the race .
That's also weight saving ...

Adrian Newey will continue with Red Bull after signing a new contract with the MK dream team and as Christian H says the others will hate even more and the FIA is watching for any dirty tricks especially from the Jekyll and Hyde character of a certain team.

For sure if not for the regulation halo then GRO would have easily ended up like Bianchi. I'm not sure what else can be added to make the drivers safe and they are reasonably safe for the next two years but with the intended cars planned for 2026 (which I think is wrong) I fear for the drivers safety from much different risks.
GRO's survival with FIA approved fire proof suit then was sufficient for him to walk away.
In the event of a similar accident with the '26 cars with 50% electric power and the propensity for Lithium ion batteries to burn at far higher temperatures
mixed with fuel and a much heavier unwieldy car the risk for a more serious disaster in my view goes up astronomically.
