*Official* Bimmerpost photo contest no.76 | "Evoking Nostalgia"

*Official* Bimmerpost photo contest no.76 | "Evoking Nostalgia"

Post a photo that evokes nostalgia. Wide interpretation is expected and the voters will decide who best reflects the theme.

SUBMISSION WILL CLOSE ON 09/09/13

RULES:

1. Any interpretation of the theme that falls within Bimmerpost.com rules is welcome.
2. You must be the person that took the photo. Photos taken prior to the start of the contest are acceptable as long as you are the one that captured the image.
3. One submission per contest, and you cannot resubmit a photo that you've submitted before in a previous contest.
4. Images must be no larger than 1024 px in any direction. Links to larger images are allowed but you must have one that is no more than 1024 px for the poll.
5. All contestants must host their own pictures (which includes hosting them on Bimmerpost).
6. All images must have a title.
7. While post processing in Photoshop is allowed, adding or removing parts of the picture is not. In the event a photo is suspected to be "photo-chopped," the contestant will be asked to provide the original picture.

xgxgx owes me big for putting this together for him. The contest theme is his idea. xgxgx, remember, you can't enter your own contest, but we want you in future ones and to stay active around this forum.

Might want to change the title to reflect the contest name.

And the description.

A picture taken in the 1970's in Korea at the Folk Village in Suwon. The lady is selling traditional Korean rice candy called yeot.

Very nice man. I'm surprised by the high level of detail (for a 1970s shot hehe)

Thanks. I used a twin lens reflex and 120 film for most of my B&W back then.

No, but what church are you thinking of? There's one in West Bloomfield that I really wanted to shoot that has the same kind of style to it, but work took control and I couldn't come home for the weekend.

Its actually in downtown Durham on the East side. It had kind of an "old and rustic" look to it and caught my attention, just wish I had another lens other than my 35mm.

I knew a girl from West Bloomfield. Haven't heard that town name in decades.
